Volta a Portugal Stage 5

1st Sérgio Ribeiro - Efapel - Glassdrive
2nd Jacques Van Rensburg - MTN - Qhubeka
3rd Hugo Sabido - LA - Antarte

Reinardt is second. Not Jacques. He also takes the points jersey, having the same amount of points as Sabido.

Is this like the after Tour criteria, where they win in a pre made order???

Seriously? Farrar?

He beat top class sprinters like Bazzana, Caruso, Fred Rodriguez and Sutherland

"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

True. But it was still pretty impressive that he was there to fight for the win. Not the easiest stage.
He needs stages like this I guess to find trust in himself again.

Adomluka
It's a surprise he finished the race without broken bones or road rash never mind actually winning the thing.

Nice win for Farrar. The real race was to get over the hills. Once he did that it was a givein unless he crashed or was unpositioned, which were likely to happen.

Anyway, great job for him. Give him some confidence at least. Smile

Some good commentary Eurosport earlier on the USA Pro Cycling Challenge today - found it quite funny.

"Oh and here we have a turn in the road".

Followed by:

"And now, look, a right turn".

Rovny finally showing something...

Did you see what he did for Leipheimer last year on the same climb? 2 km drilling it like crazy.

Indeed, he got real nasty injury at Eneco, but seemed to get back real well already Smile
