Brilliant victory from Nicácio. This was unexpected at such a late point in his career, but that only adds to the meaning of Bonsucro's first GT triumph. He's been a regular in this race, and after last year's demise, he comes back to this astounding result. Congrats The Rider
Bad day for Berhane, that's a shame. I feel Eritel is finding some bad luck in this 2nd week, but that will probably make the 3rd week more interesting!
Reis keeps his consistent climb up the top10. The podium looks more or less inaccessible for the lot of us, but 4th place is still manageable with some luck I guess. 2nd and 4th today is a cherishable result obviously. Three guys in the top20 sounds pretty well too!

Raúl Granjel Cabrera
Anyway, Tolleson slowly improves to 39th. One day he might actually be seen near the front

Cabrera
That's incredibly dominating. I don't think I've ever seen 5/6 in the last few years of MG, has it ever happened at all actually? Plus he still has 2 potential stages where he could make it 6 or even 7...
Well congrats Miguel.

Manan sprinting to a top 10 is nice to see though on the leadout picture it seems he got mistaken for his compatriot Awang who finished 99th.
It was nice to see Hofer in the break and for him to have a dig at trying to solo away right at the end.

Okay, this whole Cabrera thing is starting to get kind of lame.
Nice showing by Croket! 81 Rec beginning to kick in I see. We're still chasing that stage win though. I mean, Augustyn's plummet really sucks. He looked so good in the first stages. We really need him to move into the top 5.
I was really disappointed by the mountain TT's result. I really thought the mountain stat should play a bigger role, instead of it being another TT for GC men.

I'm just.. I literally have no words to describe this!
Cabrera has grabbed more stage wins in this race than our teams total this season, and maybe the last. |

Kind of a bummer for me as the stage designer, too I expected the total length of the climb to make it a proper mountain timetrial. We will work on a better solution for further editions of the race though!

choosing Corti was a risk but so far he has done well to get top 10s, a podium would be nice but thats yet to come. I also hope Tvetcov can keep his top 10 GC and maybe Karpets can join a break soon so we can threaten a stage victory!

Damn it, only 2nd. Was used to winning by now.
Congrats to Farrar though. Well deserved. |

Cabrera finally doesn't win
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

This race is starting to look better now, that Farrar win is a massive result for us. It might just save this race as a whole for the team and a struggling Quintana.

Castaneda with only two podiums and the fact we haven't set up one sprint train would really be an issue for us if we weren't still partying over Pedro's win.
Stage 16 looks like a real killer, I am hoping a massive chunk of sprinters leave us there.
Finally - a different winner! |

Wow, Cabrera not winning?!
Also one thing I'm really pleased with this tour; We're in nearly every break which is the most we can hope for without a sprinter here! Just wish the break would succeed for once
