If Frank Schleck didn't lose 8 minutes on the cobbles he would be in or near the top 5. Pretty impressive. Would have been interesting to see what kind of form Andy would have had.

Nice one Majka. He pissed me off yesterday, but he redeemed himself today. Great ride, and a little, little bit of compensation for Contador's crash. Guess he doesn't cry about having to ride the Tour now, Majka.
Peraud cool stuff from him, but Bardet and Pinot played it good. They seem to know that TVG is dangerous as hell, and at least they didn't seem to be riding "against" each other today from the looks of it. But then again, TVG was eager to put down his feet and show his strength. Certainly worked.
x2 to first part.
Peraud and Badret need more time to TVG. Because there is still one long TT to ride.. |

Oh right: Fränk Schleck is definitely back by now, great ride from him. Credit where credit is due.

One of the better TDF in recent years IMO, some nice racing displayed by the 'second' tier GC riders, who have belief that they can get a podium in the end. These mountain stages have been very good, lets hope it continues
we are also not blinded by a sky rider owning eveything. we are watching past a astana rider owning everything.

Kwiatkowski gonna lose 10 mins which is great, coz now he can actually win a stage without anyone chasing him. |

I want to see those guys who said Mollema would be much better than TVG this Tour and that he's definitely one of podium contenders. Also the ones who kept saying that VDB is capable of podium is another group of funny guys.
Indeed, I dno if Mollema is still sick or this is his real level of climbing. JVDB is getting older and shouldnt year after year pursue the TdF, but rather the Giro or the Vuelta - or both. I think/hope thats his plan next year.
Im so impressed by Majka today. The future of cycling definetely looks bright (particular in TdF) with the 2 young guns from France, Majka, Tejay, Quintana and probably a couple of other guys as well.
A little disappointed by Valverde today, but after yesterdays stage, it was kindaaa expected. He tried to limit a did fine. Porte and Costa completly off yet again and Rolland going into the top-10. I have so much respect to that guy.
My 2 young guys rode really impressively today. I didnt expect Herrada to be able to follow the break and being one of the best on Izoard, unfortunately he was empty on the last climb. Ion exceeded all expectations and climbed brilliantly at a climb which is perfect for him. As I have said earlier, he wont be a GC-contender in the GT's, but I see him being a little lesser LLS. Really great ride.
Majka is just awesome, he is along with Nibali the best climber left in the field right now. He should win one more in the Pyrenees and get the polka-dot. Hats off.
Edit: Oh, I forgot about Schleck. Nice to see him back and I do really hope is will get into the top-10.

Nice win for Majka, especially since he complained about his selection to Tour at the start. Bardet and Peraud amazing, just love these two riding.
Simon Yates on 21st is well impressive too, allround great stage. Chapeau to Gasteur, what a ride.
Today marks the end of Jurgen Van der Broeck. AWful.

Rolland is about to do two consecutive top 10's in a GT if he keeps it up. Moreover it's Giro-Tour. |

14th, there is not much scope of riding further as 13th (Costa) is 3min ahead. With TT to come. |

*tries to leaf through comments in earlier stage threads to find the ones where people were denouncing Majka's selection for the Tour as idiotic*

I think Zubeldia is moving up as well, Mollema is faltering and Konig will pay for his efforts, I could see him achieving another top 10 GC if he continues to ride within himself

And neither of the both Grand Tours started in any good way for him but he always fights his way back in. Giro massive (T)TT loss and Tour sickness. Real happy for him if he achieves it in the end. But similiar to his french companions, he will need quick lots of time ahead of the Final TT to make it, hm.
