Any news on a new second sponsor? Don't think I can handle that same exact jersey for three more years Pfft

More on Sayar https://www.velonation.com/News/ID/150...title.aspx

Lots of questions about the time frames involved here not least the lack of a B sample even now?!

Also will this become a reality - Sky provide WADA with total access? https://www.velonation.com/News/ID/150...laims.aspx

Between all Tinkov's ridiculous tweets, this one could be very important for the future of cycling

Waghlon
A uniquely sober and intelligent thought by Tinkov. And he's got a pretty good point too.

Holy crap, Tinkov actually kept his head straight for long enough to type 140 characters?

Remember that the cyclists do get (meagre in comparison to the profit made) prize money. And I believe ASO does use some of the profits to prop up other races.

Vaughters and Vroomen have made this point about profit sharing with teams for quite a while as well

The thing is, most race organisers (probably all but ASO) have troubles getting their finances done and are really struggeling with sponsers, tv-rights etc to break-even. If they have to pay a part of the tv-rights to the riders it will cause financianal problems for many race organisers, and that all because the ASO earns a ridiculous amount of money wouldn't be really fair.

RCS Sport have been bargaining with the teams over sharing TV Rights revenue for a while now. They have not yet come to an agreement, but I suppose that is to be expected when RCS are bargaining to get the teams to bring their star riders to their events, like the Giro d'Italia, in return for the revenue sharing.

Last time I heard, RCS and Aquarone are still confident of eventually coming to an agreement with the teams, once they smooth some smaller concerns of the teams out. According to Vaughters, at times some of the teams wouldn't know what was good for them even if it hit them in the face Pfft

To be honest, i would rather see Ag2r or other french team pulling out and being replaced by someonbe like NetApp in the WT. Smile
At least this is traditional team, but yeah, that jersey is awful.
I'll be back

Amen.

And also, I get the feeling nobody really cares about that team, or am I wrong? At least for me, I have 0 connection with AG2R, besides the fact that they have Betancur Pfft

And Pozzovivo and Gadret and Peraud and Hutarovich and Mondory and Nocentini and Dupont and Dumoulin.

Cant forget Houle either or Bagdonas. Pfft

Plus they've been around a while and have had some pretty good riders like Vino, Kirsipuu,

Ian Butler
Well, that's true. Still I don't think I've ever seen them actually in a race Pfft their shirt is so ugly but luckily you almost never see it at the front Pfft

Euskaltel....

Yeah, that would be even better option. Sanchez looks done with best in his career and Anton is nobody since he stopped doping most likely. Nieve and Izagirre duo are good though...

So are Rolland & Voeckler. Euskaltel would get wildcard for Vuelta and Catalunya etc, so no problem there Wink

And Pais Vasco... I'm sure they'd be a bit pissed off to miss out on their home race Pfft
