Awesome job by Korosec and Watson at the end I was thinking only one stage wasn't going to suit but too have two stages too hard and still come out with 3rd and 11th in GC and 3rd in the teams classification is impossible to complain about and comes out at our 2nd best stage race of the season on PPRD.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to the Turtles.
Really think this will be there year to promote they've kept a lot more in touch with the top 5 then usual and theres a real backlog of TTT and TT heavy stage races for them to score in now |

Congrats to Sean on what can only be described as a major result for the Turtles’ project, and well done to the full CT peloton keeping those PCT rascals out of the spotlight.

Indeed that's two good stages from Stocek to climb up in a respectful GC position, with stage results and some more in the points classification. Dieteren bringing in two more depth points are well taken too.
Happily the nightmare from S2 didn't concretize, and we did what we could with S1 results, so we can leave this race satisfied, even though we miss our goal by one place.
Thanks a lot for the reports KB, congrats for the win Sean!

Truly in shock over these last 4 stages. Wasn't expecting anything quite like this and was really just trying to come away with more than nothing. Not sure exactly what got into Santiago, but what a huge race from him after not scoring at all earlier in the season. He's making our trade away of Kuroeda worth it - while hopefully Rachid can help do that later this season, too.
Stocek with a great final stage and overall some great racing over the hills. Nice to see that these hilly stages didn't end up being total attritution fests with only 10 at the end. Luxembourg has been a great addition to the C2 schedule these alst two years with some very interesting racing.
Thank you all for the kind words along the way!

Eriksson very close to finish off in yellow on the podium, but can't be unhappy leaving this race with about 100 points and a green jersey instead.
Congrats Sean, very nice win!
And thanks kb for the really good reporting! |
