The AI didn't like us very much on this stage, a story I have had to repeat a bit too much this season
At least Zmorka did very well in third, and Ocampo gave a nice fight for white
Thank you for the great report of a chaotic TT, Abhishek!

A really good effort from Würtz. Close, but just not enough. 2nd place still looks good and it was the most likely outcome. Good to see him, probably, getting another big chunk of points, but a bit concerning that the rest of the team couldn't follow up. Will be a decent score if he holds on to 2nd, but we need every point we can get now, as the situation stands.
Thanks for the report, Abhishek!

A note that I should've mentioned in the report - There was quite a bit of wind in the middle of the stage, which died down towards the end. Explains the wonky results mostly.

Okay result I guess. Now I hope nothing happens to Mano's GC top 10 and Sanikwathi will do something in the final 2 stages. |

Could be a huge result for us if we can keep both guys in the top 10

Another one by Groves, great sprint on stage 2
I don't know how the sprint unfolded, how his positioning and timing was and all that stuff - but he definitely learned from his stage 1 mistakes. That stage win - his 3rd, and our 5th of the season - is almost enough to make this race a success for us. Hoping for some more great sprints, but can't expect to get this lucky again
Stage 3 podium looks fine - but it's quite a mess behind. I'd say we were partly lucky with the wind, with Brunel clearly punching above his weight to take 13th. Rekita slightly below, but a Top 20 is still perfectly fine. Bissegger missing out on the Top 50 feels really weird, though, in particular with a 76 TTer in the Top 25 - but cycling is an outdoor sport, and you can't control the wind ^^
Sad to see Vernon miss out on a good U25 result due to the wind, but he was lucky in some other races. At least him, Bissegger, Marchewka and Janssen should still make the Top 100, which isn't a lot of points, but some points still.
Just hoping that there won't be any random splits! And maybe Bissegger or Vernon could now be allowed in a breakaway, which would be cool.
Thanks for the reports, congrats to Wirtgen once again.
Just one thing, probably @Ulrich: It looks like the intermediate time check actually was an interemdiate sprint as well, as Wirtgen, Würtz and Zmorka got both sprint points and bonus seconds there. I'm fine with the former (IRL there are also time checks with KoM points), but bonus seconds in a TT really make no sense.

Bit of a mixed bag over the first 3 days here!
Jakobsen with 2 strong and consistent 2nd place finishes to give himself the Points jersey lead. Then a really poor TT from Cosnefroy and Conci both slower than Vandevelde who was pretty good to lead the U25s. Hopefully some strong stage results to finish as our GC scoring is going to be a bit lacklustre.

Better TT from Farantakis than expected, but still need a “gap-day” to get anything interesting out of this race.

Cullaigh is under par I'd say after that underwhelming 2nd stage. At least Oliveira has done well enough with an 8th place in the TT so that should translate to 8th overall as well hopefully.
I'd hope that Cullaigh can win a stage at least in the last two stages to make this race worthwhile...

What a waste of racedays honestly. Thanks for the report.

Lovely sixth place for Bjerg, should net us another decent amount of points from this one!

Looks like Halvorsen came too early. He might have gotten some satisfaction from it, but he should try coming at the right moment next time, so we both have a good time.
Thank you for a nice report as always, Abhishek

Another solid result from Jakobsen for 5th which gives a small gap in the Points classification. Big day needed tomorrow to hold on and win that!

I'm guessing Hoelgaard isn't allowed in the break anymore now that we hold 5th in GC. So as long as we keep our GC placing that's all okay.

Boudat getting some much needed PTHC points. This really helps.
Thanks for the reports so far, good read!

Finally a good sprint from Farantakis. From the pictures it looked like a gap was almost forming. I have one last shot. With 1’24” up it would be a Dream to see a gap :-)
A good result tomorrow could give a decent GC result, but looking at the season as a whole I can’t expect even a top 10 from him.

Can't blame Groves for not trying here. Zero points, but I prefer to see him going early than getting blocked like on stage 1 where he just had no chance.
Hopefully he'll get the timing right again tomorrow. And otherwise, hoping for my TTers to be attentive.
Congrats to Polar, thanks for the report.
