First of all thanks to jandal for the preview and to roturn for the reports. Also congrats to ember for keeping Kraghs streak running!
It's our first PT race and we're here with 7 talents needing XP, so all we can hope for from them is an active race and many breakaway appearances. But it's also Ranaweeras first race for us (and also our first ever race with a real stage racer), so we also hope to see him perform well. Maybe a GC top 10 (or more likely top 15) is on the table despite our subpar TTT lineup.

Oh another SKA short time-trial victory. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Not great from Galta in the prologue. Seconds can matter and we're behind every favorite basically.

Sureda with good positioning and another top 10 finish. Not the biggest scorings so far but its great to see that he repeatedly gets into the fights.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

We just need to stay out of trouble during the sprint stages.

Thank you for the report and the intense final kilometers, roturn.
Groenewegen!
That’s a big win for us. Admittedly the train didn’t work out, but this time, compared to Qatar, we were lucky to not be alone in front, so that Groenewegen could find a new wheel to follow. Perfectly executed by him to take advantage of Hamza and Manninen.
Very excited to see how we continue here, as this might be a big tell for how I pick our team for stage racer next season, having Qatar also in mind. |

Bol never seems to learn his lesson about positioning. Looks like the 50k random sprinter way will be the one to go next year.
Congrats to Aker again, good to see Groenewegen finally deliver.

There wasn't a single TTT in a PT stage race last season, so it is good that we do have one this season. Especially as the GT TTT continues to be a forced clash with a PTHC TTT.
Of course, the placement on the final stage, and after a big mountain stage, is far from ideal. We shall have to see if it throws out any opportunity of being a stage win target if TT specialists offer less value than stage racing TTers by that stage. At least, unlike with the GT one, it does provide the opportunity to sort of see how good my TTT team can be without the Wirtgen figurehead.
Including him could have made a good stage win difference, but unlikely to have helped his GC too much as the mountain stage presumably will cause quite some gaps. Instead, a chance for Kirsch to try to cling on - and perhaps boost his GC outcome if he gets himself close on GC to any other riders prior to that.

Ok let's try that again but do everything you did 600m later than you did it and we'll be golden

Not a bad start, but a podium would have been better. Will need to work on positioning for the next sprints.
Good to see Groenewegen finally being successful for Aker.

4th from Walls is a nice debut! Can't complain about that at all. Congrats to ember for finally getting a true to skill performance from Groenewegen.

Congratulations on the win again, ember And thank you for the nice report, roturn.
For us it was a matter of keeping Eastman in the peloton, and we did it.

OK, Bol finally seems to get close to last year's P-N form. Not quite a podium yet, but this was far better now. A bit sad he couldn't fend off Steimle, who's having a great early season, but maybe next time. I guess picking Groenewegen's wheel was a great choice to be in the mix, but given Bol's low acceleration it might have taken him too much energy to even just hold the wheel. Still, 4th is a good result and that's still decent points.
Congrats to Aker, really crushing this race! Thanks for the report.

Rooting for Manninen in those sprints, but he just didn't show his best form yet this season. Luckily Pidcock has been making up for that in some regards, but obviously still stinks for Xero. Congratulations on another win to ember though, only four stages left to win for you, so almost halfway
Thanks for the nice report, roturn!

Two very respectable 6th places in a row from Hesters is about as much as we can expect from him so good to see him showing up well!

Guess Van Poppel is not Grosu and we also need Van der Kooij between Kooij and the sprinter.

Sureda was well positioned but didnt have the legs. Still, he is contesting these stages which is key if we want to get a lucky lottery ticket at some point in the season.

Davide Ballerini has the best result for the team in a normal sprint stage so far this year...
Breakaways damn it, why can't my team join them?

Strange to see the same top 2 on two sprint stages in a row, especially when Steimle is not one of the strongest. But of course, Groenewegen has some catching up to do scoring wise, and I certainly can't complain. Great sprint by Walls to get free enough to make the stage podium here! Very happy with his sprints so far.
