4th on stage one is OK for us, Yates really lost positioning in the last 2/3km which hurt us badly in the end as he seemed to have good speed in the last as well. Hopefully he can pick a stage win up or two as the first week especially should be a gold mine for a rider like him and hopefully that would bring the points jersey into play as well.
Carthy should be happy with a lower top 10 given the TT kms but maybe that could provide some opportunities in breakaways instead. Overall, I have high hopes for this race even without Morton here so fingers crossed things come together for us.

Just inside the top 10 with Prasad is fine. To see Klaris aggressive was also cool!
Congratulations on the win, Marco! Quite the way for the Minions
Thank you for having started the reports, kandesbunzler, enjoyed the first one |

I feel bad for the teams with the top sprinters once again, but it is definitely nice to see Minions win the stage and grab that yellow jersey

We don't have any guaranteed big scorers here, but we'll try to go the depth route.
Nice start by Lander.

Sureda really is a positioning god. He has no business even being in frame on the pure flat stages here tbh. So probably best for the game that once he opened his sprint he couldn't keep up. Still, nice that he held on for a top 10!

If with such a strong lead-out, Grosu launches too early, we are in big big trouble

+1
Indeed, great to see a Minion in yellow - I mean, in even more yellow than usually
And indeed feeling sorry for the top sprinters. Grosu and Philipsen at least with one good result each, but this awful leadout AI could just break the game for Grosu. Looks like the top sprinters are rather stronger on tougher stages, so I hope the minor bumps on the next two days will be good for them.
Congrats to Minions and Polar, good start for both of them

5th is good for Prasad. Happy with that! Good to see Philipsen shine, but really hope Grosu finds the stage win sooner rather than later. Feels crucial for Rabobank's survival quest too, which makes it even more intense, I feel. |

Feels good to see this result from Grosu, with Farantakis up there as well. Hope Jakobsen can also win a stage later on.

Great to see that it can actually happen for the top profiles to get it right. Happy with 2nd from Farantakis.
Too bad Koumpetsos decided to sit up in the end. I little bit more effort and he could have gotten a decent stage result aswell.

Kalaba is doing well in this field. And we still own the polka dots

Are you actually serious...? 17th from Jakobsen Hasn't been better than 9th and been outside the Top 10 twice. It's not looking good.

Impressive start from Peak, who continues to have a far better season than I’d ever have expected. The hope has to be that Barguil can push for a top 5, but a lot will hinge on how much time he loses in the TTs. |

Good to see Grosu deliver, congrats to Rabobank Same for Farantakis, 2nd place sure is a good result for him.
So most sprinters have at least one strong result, just Samolenkov and Jakobsen have been awful so far... Maybe they'll get a 1-2 tomorrow then?

Indeed nice to see Grosu deliver as the favorite. Another nice sprint from Sureda too, this time with an 8th place finish. The slight uphill at the end suited him, but mostly I'm just impressed he's been attentive enough to be involved every time given how far down the sprint power rankings he is. Maybe he'll luck into a top 5 one of these days - certainly wouldn't hurt from a points perspective.

More in line with expectations from Peak, which is absolutely fine. Great ride from Gee though - doubt he'll be able to keep that jersey beyond tomorrow, but any extra points are always a bonus! |

Sureda has to be one of the most consistent sprinters I've ever seen in this game engine. Between 8th and 10th four stages in a row. Not complaining by any means! Glad he continues to mix it up even though he's clearly not as fast as the real contenders.
