Well those were certainly not the results I was expecting to end Indonesia. Oof.
Langlois close to the stage win in Bongo but then dropped to, predictably. A lot of breakaway wins so far this year.

First race for our revamped team and still got away with a stage win in the time trial, nice! Some problems with the jerseys apparently, do I need to resend the Magnum jersey?
Nothing special for Hoelgaard with some fourth and fifth places in Tropicale, but it could be worse I suppose

Pretty disappointed by Langlois's performance in Amissa Bongo. Not because he failed to win a stage, but mostly because other sprinters managed to stay in the GC fight and he cracked despite similar stats. It happens though.

Maybe a slightly underwhelming TTT by Team BP - but a fantastic stage win by Tao a day later! A crazy late attack, the kind which usually never pays off, beautifully done.
Damn, the season quota of CT stage wins by U23 escapees seems to have been fulfilled already, before Aviva Futura even got into the mix.

Love to see that first pro win for Astier in Bongo  great work holding off the pack there.
Decent from Wackermann, would have loved a stage win or two from him and Appo combined but 2nd is a good GC finish even if in another race maybe he should have won.

January wrapped up now.
VDP with a solid showing in Toowoomba, saving the 4th spot at least but missing out on his third podium in this race after 2018 and 2020. Fortunately we had a good team time trial with a team focused on it, the hill performance was not that good but we still managed to keep some riders surprisingly in the Top 20. Grupo with some of the easiest Top 15 points well pllanned for this goal race.
Seems to mean that Lutsenko is racing better this year again after last season he didnt really do much. Also Villela is showcasing his upgrade but suprising that neither he nor Kwiatek could match the leader. 2nd win in a row now, this race definitely suits him. |

Solid showing by Yates on the hills. Our poor TTT setup costing us a couple of spots at least. Still a decent first month.
