And now it's raining sprinters
All of them above the age of decline though, so no-one seems to care for more than 1-year contracts here
Moschella in between is somehow Manfredi reloaded, but with even weaker Fl/Res... In this case I really wonder why nobody wanted my Italian

Interesting to see if Avelino has still got it. bbl must be getting nightmares looking at his acc stat

Low acceleration sprinters seem to be the pick here despite that being demonstrably the opposite of the meta the last couple of years.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Seigle is a good pick, but unfortunate he's signed without any chance to level up.

Is that the sound of the first collective "Who?" of the Draft? Tajford only wanted to draft Norwegians, and it is the first Level 1 rider of the evening.
| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | Wage | | O. Hjemsaeter | 66 | 60 | 63 | 61 | 63 | 66 | 59 | 63 | 67 | 68 | 1.00 | 22 | 66.0 | - | | G. Orue | 69 | 50 | 64 | 64 | 77 | 70 | 56 | 78 | 53 | 58 | Max | 27 | 72.3 | - | | R. Seigle | 68 | 70 | 75 | 64 | 73 | 72 | 68 | 60 | 63 | 70 | 4.40 | 27 | 73.0 | - | | A. Geniez | 66 | 74 | 70 | 73 | 70 | 72 | 75 | 52 | 56 | 70 | Max | 33 | 72.9 | - |
He is joined by another older talent in Seigle. The loss of Air France means he will not reach his maximum potential this year, with nobody else swooping in. He does get a ride though, at least!
Paraguay's Oroe was the best available cobbled stat rider in the draft. He knows how to ride with Summerhill, having been with Azteca last year, but now we will see if CT can allow him to score points of his own - he only picked up 9 in PCT last season.
The experience Geniez has that fabled Mountain / TT combination. He was with Kraftwerk last season.

Geniez lookin like the pick of the draft so far. Either him or Avellino look like the biggest scorers

How will our former PCT teams draft?
| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | Wage | | M. Hasnaoui | 68 | 74 | 71 | 70 | 73 | 70 | 73 | 58 | 64 | 64 | Max | 32 | 72.5 | - | | E. Battaglin | 67 | 77 | 72 | 58 | 69 | 72 | 67 | 50 | 62 | 70 | Max | 32 | 73.8 | - | | D. Lilovski | 68 | 67 | 77 | 66 | 70 | 70 | 73 | 54 | 65 | 73 | Max | 26 | 73.8 | - |
We have our first instance of drafting a rider who was not renewed by the same team - Aramco have decided they do want Tunisian Hasnaoui after all. No hard feelings over only scoring 6 ranking points in their relegation season.
Battaglin was much more popular last season - several free agent bids, for a wage of 65k. He still has the same stats, and did score 42 points in CT last season - historically, that's definitely a well above average haul for a drafted rider!
And BWT dip back into their Bulgarian heritage for their draft pick. Lilovski was maxed by Podium Ambition last season, but they did not wish to use him at his new best. It will be interesting to see what he can do then.

Did not expect to get Battaglin this far down
Geniez was on my initial shortlist before submission as well, going to be interesting to see how he does in CT, he does have a very interesting skillset.

I like the Lilovski pickup, he's a good rider now and provides long term value too.

Round 2 begins, so they go again. BWT actually wanted to pick Jan-Andre Freuler here, a rider with a high placing for 3 teams draft lists. But Freuler instead was the final rider of the transfer season to receive a Free Agent contract.
| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | Wage | | R. Barbier | 75 | 50 | 67 | 56 | 72 | 71 | 76 | 68 | 77 | 79 | Max | 29 | 74.8 | - | | H. Redecker | 73 | 57 | 72 | 62 | 74 | 67 | 79 | 52 | 77 | 78 | Max | 31 | 74.3 | - | | J. Cardona | 69 | 64 | 62 | 71 | 68 | 68 | 64 | 62 | 64 | 67 | 2.10 | 24 | 68.0 | - |
Here we go, sprinters who can accelerate better than they sprint, and who aren't older than 32! Barbier had the third highest OVL of all available riders for the draft, with good flat skills to go with his sprinting. He did only score 5 CT points for Guave last season though.
Redecker has hill capabilities to go with his sprinting, and he scored 32 points for Bralirwa last year.
Cardona is a Colombian time trial talent, unusually getting his 3rd team, despite only being Level 2! He levelled up as a stagiare for Tinkoff last season, thanks to Avenir, having failed to be given enough races to level up by Azteca in 2019.

Igor Boex the hero still needs to be picked up. Brought us an amateur victory in 2019 for Adriatic Kontinentalna Selekcija and did awesome as a draft pick for Philips last year. Who can not pick somebody that scored 100+ points both last 2 seasons!?
Battaglin the steal so far, though I really like the Barbero pick-up and somehow also the Avelino gamble.
As somebody with few times it'd be cool to see an overview post somewhere about drafted riders & the teams that picked them up

Lilovski really a great pickup. I like Seigle a lot as well, might even have gone for him if I had some cap space left. Good pick for the future!
Geniez should still be able to score depth points in stage races; probably the last year he's really useful though.
Battaglin is somewhat similar to maxed Saggiorato, who did really well in some CT stage races, so I'd call that a great pick as well
And I've got no clue if Orue has someone to ride for, as with his horrible Spr/Acc he's not likely to get great results on his own. Would be a nice dom, though.

Great pick-ups in Barbier, Redecker (Kump looks set!!) and Cardona who is a good value talent at this point.

I'll be a little disappointed if nobody takes CT legend Salleh, man was straight fire for me for multiple seasons.

Really like to see former rider Redecker being picked up, should be a solid pick up for no money.
Also nice to see some old names Drapac and Meyer picking up rides for another season
John St Ledger in Team Bunzl-Centrica and Team U25
Red Bull Driver in RFactor

| | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | XP | Age | OVL | Wage | | M. Krasnoperov | 58 | 78 | 66 | 71 | 65 | 66 | 70 | 50 | 51 | 58 | Max | 34 | 73.1 | - | | G. Tivani | 70 | 63 | 66 | 63 | 68 | 78 | 76 | 56 | 77 | 78 | Max | 26 | 73.9 | - | | R. Gillett | 67 | 73 | 72 | 70 | 71 | 67 | 74 | 55 | 59 | 74 | Max | 31 | 72.0 | - | | S. Andersen | 66 | 64 | 67 | 64 | 65 | 66 | 68 | 61 | 64 | 68 | 1.00 | 22 | 67.5 | - |
Krasnoperov returns! All about the mountain stat for him, even more so after some declines - a scary looking 58 flat stat! He scored 4 points last season.
After straying away from the Americas for their first pick, McCormick are back in more familiar territories, and Argentina for their sprinter pick. Tivani scored 37 points last season, riding in PCT for Azteca.
Rhys Gillett's services were no longer required by Grieg this season - but BNZ also have returned to their regional focus for their second pick.
Sander Andersen completes Tajford's set of two Level 1 riders.

Petilli and Lietaer in hindsight also good picks, but over half of the riders of my top 10 best available still on offer.

Barbier should be quite solid with still some good years to go. Don't send him to races with bumps higher than 50m though
Redecker looks nice as well, given that low Res didn't seem to impact sprinters that much - it might however in hilly races, which would be his main strength normally.
Cardona - why not? Not sure if there were still better TT talents around, guess he won't max that high with Pot 3.
Krasnoperov is similarly horrible on the flat as Moschella; they just lose too much energy there, at least according to my Signorini experience
And Tivani is one of those high-res sprinters - if these work well with PCM20, that could be a great pick as well! At least he should work pretty nicely as a leadout.
