Stage 1: Sad that Jung had a mechanical, preventing some possible KoM points. A few riders ending around top 30 fine with no time lost.
Congratz to SN.
Stage 2: Not there at all, just glad we did not lose time and Jung still 5th in KoM
Congratz to fintas.
Thanks to cunego for some great reports.

A point is a point, at least Drapac sprinted in the right direction

A couple of uneventful sprint stages to start the race. Congrats on the victory fintas!

Nizzolo a bit messy in the sprints means only 7th. Well, not the most important things for us this race. Now time for Merhawi to deliver, though this hilly stage coming up probably won't produce any relevant gaps, so just be at the front and see what is possible to get

At least the breakaways are funny when we're not in them and they end up winning the stage.
On the other hand, an amazing ride by both Bevin and Niu to stay in that front group!
Niu with a big chance for U25 points now, and I hope Bevin can stay in the bunch until the last climb on stage 5 and then do well on the next day too to make use of his TT for a good GC result.

Keinath attentive and up to 10th in the GC now on a very weird stage.
Not ideal though that the rest of the team were all dropped. At least one should stay with Keinath for a bit longer. In especially on those non-mountain stages really where the support is decent. |

Boswell finally does something this season and the breakaway gets the win

Wow that was crazy - already much more points here than we could hope for.

Interesting. Too bad about the time gaps. 2nd would've been nice but the extra time over some riders is what we really needed here.

Well this is unexpected. Congrats Tamijo!
Having brought a fully focused hilly squad who has managed to achieve absolutely nothing before the mountain stage is mindly infuriating. Then again we've been rubbish all season so why bother.

If JJ's gonna get dropped and lose 5 minutes on a stage like this, we might as well pack it up and set up a CT HQ.

Where are you guys, we need to be in the break. Surely Campari could've done with one less...

Good to see Willwohl getting a top 5 in the sprint.
Lots of Kraftwerk's riders on the right side of the split puts us up to 4th in the Team.
Not sure why Maillet lost so much time but hope to see him in a break.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to the winners.

Bit of a test to see how Kek can handle leading the sprints, then stacked out with the TT'ers and a breakaway hope or two in Robov/Alaphilippe. Don't really have any expectations here, lets just see what happens
Conclusion, Kek can't handle leading the sprints. Lets see how we mess up the TT. At least we knew most races would be awful like this so it's not a dissapointment

Stage 2, Appo sprints too early. Today, he literally sits up into the final 100 meters. Bizarre.
I guess I'll take a top 5 though.

Wow, admittedly I completely missed we're in this race
Decent performance by Galta on the Queen stage, just a pity it didn't creat any real gaps among the first 30 riders or so. That goes for the hilly stages so far as well, though, making this a weird race so far. Kadri still leading after the breakaway win is also quite something, and with only a hilly stage left, he must even believe in his winning chances now.
The final stage looks like the most difficult one of the hilly stages, so I suspect there will be some proper gaps there, but we shall see.
Thank you for your reports so far, cunego! |

Really was hoping for some gaps here and bigger ones to the puncheur group.
It was 71 mo against ~80 mo.
Pretty sure the hilly stage will have bigger gaps making it towards the puncheurs now.
Still hoping for a top5 though. |
