Congrats Jandal! Terrific win. Always like these stages without any big sprint favourites, always exciting and chaotic.
Thanks for the report tsmoha!

Repsol with the possible shock 1-2?
Loving this race so far! Though with these unpredictable results I'm also glad I'm not racing this myself... |

Wow what a performance from both Novak and Kudus
Kudus clearly with a +5 today, i hope the good form there doesn't dissapear for the mountain stage, because Duarte winning the stage (which is as lol as Kudus doing that time) isn't a great thing for us, though we are lucky Tleubayev took the GC lead instead.
It's reasonable to think that Kudus won't lose the podium, being one of the strongest climbers here and with a good gap to the rest. The issue could be leadership for the mountain stage, as i was worried about pre-race. The good thing is that whether the stage is ridden slow (so big group coming together) or fast (very few riders in the front) benefits us.
Obviously it would important that Novak has a good day so he can get at least a GC Top10. So the goal has to be that, Kudus winning GC and Novak with a Top10.
@Vien A 1-2 should be impossible with Duarte ahead of both right now. I mean, Novak and Kudus finishing both in the first group and Duarte behind? Very very unlikely

Ehh, my bad Aquarius. I confused Duarte's MO with a career I'm doing right now |

Not happy to lose time on Kudus like that. Choi and Shikai both did respectably though, and Cheung with a great day, challenging for the stage win!

Thank goodness for Keough, not sure we would have any points in the last couple months without him right now.

What a great performance by Tleubayev. Not only did he take the lead (which was a real possibility prior to the stage), he also did so by taking a huge 5th place on the stage massively overperforming.
I'm really happy that all of those hours spent analyzing the races, possible riders and possible competition actually merits in some results. Kip with some stage wins, and leaders jersey, claiming 2nd in the points jersey in our first race, then Tempier with decent GC result in Cyprus, 3rd in KOM twice and now also Tleubayev performing well...
Rasmus Mygind and Julien Simon are yet to have their key races. If they can perform like those other 3 leaders we will have a hugely successful amateur season.
It really is great fun to follow especially since the task wasn't at all that easy :-)

Absolutely awful from Velits

Not the best of rides by Warbasse, but the mountains are what really matters

Worrying time loss for Henao. Will probably mean PCM doesn't think him a GC contender and he just sits in the pack. Hoping for the opposite...

A lot of “too bad” on this stage. Duarte just one spot too high for Tleubayev to take the points jersey himself.
No attacks meaning Rodríguez not getting anything from the KOM. Had he or Tempier been in the BotD we would have likely taken 2nd or 3rd in the KOM.
But! Great race for us really! A stage 2nd and 5th. A day in the lead, and points, and shared points GC + two days in 2nd place of the KOM. For an amateur team that is huge!

This is for real?
Don't know what to say, this was totally unexpected. I mean, i had hopes of Kudus winning GC, but Novak doing so... a really shocking win for me.
Novak was too strong today, so now i wonder if he could have got the stage win if Kudus had worked for him instead of the other way, but 1st + 4th in GC clearly balances the lack of great stage results. Obviously Kudus with the U25 win as expected, but Ndayisenga and Roson with minor points there helps, also that 2nd place in the Teams standings.
A shame that bonus are so important in a short race like this, and that Kudus was without energies before the sprint, because a third place in the stage would have meant a 1-2 in GC, but i was also lucky that it was Shikai winning the stage instead of Uran, so no complains of course today.
In overall, a huge race that we really needed to comeback from a bad month (though it was to be expected with races/squad we were going), as we were slipping down the rankings too much for my likeness, so these ~200 points from this race will make us forget about any relegation worries for a while
Thanks for the reports tsmoha!

Meh.. Cant really be disapointed, the competition was very strong, but Warbasse never really showed hope of a good result.
Novak? Beasttttttt, congratz Aquarius! And thanks tsmoha for the great reporting.

I was starting to get excited with Dall'Oste in the break, but I'll settle for that 14th from Senni
Thanks for the reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Úran failed in the time trial and failed to outsprint Shikai. Three seconds which cost us 60 points in the ranking. Of course a podium is nice but this race had to be ours. A sour taste in my mouth.
Thanks tsmoha for the reports. Congrats Repsol!
