How are you all talking about relegation when this team could or should be in the fight for Promotion with some insane depth in the roster. Can fully identify with the project. Good luck!

@Yellow Jersey - Will they gel, or will they hate each other after last season’s rivalry? We’ll learn in training camp, for sure! Just hope they’re both good enough for the PCT, though we’re under no illusions that they’ll be beating Pluchkin when he decides to race in the division...
Thanks for the well wishes
Aquarius - Genuinely don’t think you should be underestimating Mr Valls, he’ll still be riding on Spanish soil for a few races this season. Polish cuisine also has some similarities to Spanish home cooking: just substitute potato pancakes in for patatas bravas
I think, pending good planning, we’ll be in a better spot than you think
Mullen has some home races this season, and Baugnies has some overconfident foes to shut down. Barbin/Pavarin are quick as a kangaroo in heat, and Vanendert knows all the tricks. Whatever happens, it’ll be fun!
@Vien - ToA might just work with our squad this year I’ve always wanted to be a participant in one of the grand tours, maybe this could be our chance, by proxy. Thanks for the luck, we’ll need it!
It’ll be interesting to see how your/Aquarius’ squads stack up with all of the fellow promoters in this big class of CT -> PCT teams. One thing is for sure, it’ll be a competitive year
@Croatia14 - I like this guy
To be honest, I have more of your outlook towards our team. Quite pleased with how it’s turned out despite the extreme competition in this transfer market. We had to go for some budget, proven scorers, and managed to get many of them, that have previously shown they know how to do it.
I hope you’re right about our overall prospects, and am looking forward to any previews you’re planning on doing this year

I love this squad, a worthy successor to the class of 2017 at Kulczyk! Congrats on building a squad with nice stats and great depth, think if planned well that rumoured top 10 goal shouldn't be far out of reach Much like your comment in my HQ, that is me making it up a bit but I really do like this team!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

@jandal7 - Thanks for the support mate
As more and more rosters come out, ours is looking a bit shabbier, so your comment on the top 10 goal, while very kind, might be a load of bollocks in the end. Hopefully Valls can replicate some of his dominating performances and blow Bennett out of the water - only to get shat on by Velits. On the other hand, Roux = less cool Barbin, we've got you there.
We've built our debut PCT rosters similarly - so you must like your own as well. I definitely do

Whether Valls is duelling (you don't have the Repsol "edge" Bennett or getting blown out of the water by Velits depends on planning I guess Roux is a much cooler Barbin though - 82FTR! I am a Barb-fan though Plus Lavoine and Bennett are less cool Rowe and Tosh
Haha I do like my own - not sure how good I think it is, but I like it Thanks! Looking forward to some friendly battles between our squads.

Love your squad depth, and the fact that you can definitely score on multiple terrains. I definitely think flat stages will be a big of a struggle, but apart from that Valls, Barbin and baugnies are fantastic leaders to have and should rake in a good amount of points.
Scoring on multiple terrains and scoring depth is going to make your team quite strong, not sure you'll be in the promotion hunt like Croatia said, but I would be very surprised to see you in the relegation fight.
Good luck this season! |

@jandal7 - More like Penasa duelling Bennett, with Valls doing his own thing well up the road. Meanwhile Velits sticks with the favourites group, and then runs out of gas when he realises his lone support rider has left him to check out the scenery
I do have a few less cool guys, but Baugnies is pretty damn cool - and fast.
maxime86 - Oh, I definitely agree with that assessment - we made a calculated gamble to leave the flats points to the likes of Degenkolb, Lo Cicero, and Ewan, while the rest fight over scraps. Thought it would be better to focus on those 5-10 spots in multiple races, with Baugnies handling our top 5 quota. Overall, the division is quite tough to predict, so we appreciate your comme ci, comme ça assessment

I love that Baugnies and Langeveld reunite here. Hoping that they can set the pavé on fire again, like they did for me 2 seasons back. Best wishes.

@Shonak - Thanks mate, we’ve gone for a bit of the Strava depth scoring formula. Have you to thank for the template, but I don’t think my execution was quite on the same level as yours
I think Baugnies might find it a little tougher this time around with the PCT spoiled for cobbled talents. That being said, we’ve got plenty of faith in him and old man Langeveld

2018 TEAM GOALS
ROMA MAXIMA - WIN
Team management looked at the hump, and thought it was a hilly race. Similarly, team management also saw the grey section of road dotted throughout the 2nd half of the race, and thought it would be cobbled. Team management has selected its team win goal on false assumptions. Team management does not expect to complete this goal.
A Florian Senechal special, too bad we don't have him. Baugnies will have to pull off a big result here.
TOUR OF VANCOUVER - TOP 5
Perhaps we were a bit too ambitious with our TTT contingent we were planning on building. Valls will have to hope that he sticks around on the the TTT, and does more than stick around elsewhere. A very difficult goal - seems like it's becoming a theme for Kulczyk - DMTEX in 2018.
See: GP Herning description.
This one might be more attainable for Baugnies, but he'll likely have the pleasure of seeing Bewley and GVA in the startlist instead of solely Vanspeybrouck and Blythe. Hooray!
PCT TEAM STANDINGS - TOP 10
You could say the same about all of our goals - this one's going to be very iffy.

@bbl - To be quite honest, I’m befuddled. According to the rating, it’s a flat race, with no cobbles to speak of. Maybe it’s got dirt roads?

It's a cobbled race, it's just a problem with the profile. This was already asked when the profiles forum came out, can't remember if in Skype or in the forum

Ah, thanks Aquarius97, that settles the confusion.
At least one of our goals is looking a bit more likely!

Indeed. This was expert planning given the De Panne clash. Really smart move. Of course, I hope Carlsberg can give him a run for his money at least.

And then both Baugnies and Nolf (i guess) will be beaten in the sprint by Vanmarcke

Mektel Eyob - Eritrean National Champion
More stunning work by hillis91. Our first ever national champion is the media star of the year - Mektel Eyob is our resident campaigner for refugees. On behalf of his countrymen, and on behalf of all of those refugees seeking a better life in Europe, Eyob will be riding his heart out. And what better way to do it than in a stunning national jersey, riding for Eritrea. A brilliant story that the paparazzi is eating up.
Ryan Mullen - Ireland TT Champion
Ryan Mullen managed to finish his lacklustre season with a decent result in the national Irish TT. He'll don the green and white for his countrymen this coming season, but only against the chrono. He'll hope to reverse his trend of shocking results in the regular season this year in the PCT, though it will be a much tougher ask. Thanks again to hillis91 for the brilliant work.

Excited to see Baugnies tear up the cobbles this year. He's overcome Summerhill, Carlsberg and Vanbilsen (who he dominated in 2016) should be no trouble
