McLaren with a very classical orange look. I like it.

Renault and McLaren have some really nice liveries, indeed. |

As I expected Red Bull goes for the normal look.

Pretty average race. Vettel took advantage of the safety car situations to make the undercut. Both Haas cars were going for their best collective result but the engines failed almost simultaneously. Alonso 5th maybe the biggest highlight today. |

Melbourne is just not the circuit to race on. You almost can't pass. I believe they said you need a delta of -1,5s to overtake someone.
With the field this much closer this year it's hard. Even Bottas couldn't pass much starting from the back of the field. And he is in a f.cking Mercedes rocketship. |

Engines? Really? It was a clearly fail with attaching one of the wheels in each car in the pit-stops

If it was the same wheel position for both somebody's getting fired

Was a lucky VSC timing for Vettel to get infront. Mercedes clearly the quicker car but it's hard to pass at Melbourne and you need the grip to hang on through the quick corners leading to main overtaking spots, which doesn't happen because these cars are so heavily reliant on clean air to work properly.
Mercedes should be pretty pleased with their car. The result didn't match up, but over a season they'll be easily on for another double championship. Ferrari a clear second on pace, if they can keep Kimi motivated and make a few good upgrades they can pressure Mercedes. Red Bull a bit further back than i expected but still a nice 3rd quickest car, should get a few wins as the Ferrari-Merc battle consumes them.
Fourth in the order is tight. Haas look to have the early advantage, but Mercedes and Renault are right behind. That will be a season long battle, but a win looks beyond these teams.
Force India seem to have gone backwards considerably and Williams don't look in good shape. Still, they are both ahead of Sauber and Torro Rosso who's Honda engine still looks way off pace and reliability despite a decent testing.
Halo still looks goddamn awful. And i hate that somes teams have added aero parts onto it. If we have to have it i want it to be only for safety and not have these extra bits tacked on. Watching the way drivers are getting in and out of the car is pretty funny, and F1's camera angles are awfuly. At least they moved it from practice to qualifying, but it makes Halo look even worse!
Otherwise, average start to the year. Shows promise of good races but i don't expect to see that at Bahrain, so hopefully China can show excitement.

So I posted on the wrong topic, here it is again:
Baku GP is a paradox, shit layout but provided two entertaining races so far. Force India podium, LeClerc top-6, diversity of teams in the points. And what is going on with Red Bull and Verstappen. |

Verstappen lost the plot this season. I always thought his moves were sometimes over the edge. But then morE Schumacher like.
This year it's 100% maldonado like. I dunno. Not championship material. He's fast when he wants to be, but also reckless.
edit: lol @Grosjean btw. He's being totally exposed since Magnussen is there, who is clearly the better driver (although he had a shit day today). |

Well, that Monaco GP was dull as f*ck... modern F1 cars have not been suited to the 1920's track since... well probably about 1970...
Good to see Max not crash, although his pass on Sainz was hardly the best. He should be happy with today, but he still seems quite a long way from his best.
Riccardo thoroughly deserved this race win, two years too late
I love Moncao. I love it's history. But it really does not make for exciting racing

I concur, but on the other hand we've been blessed with some very entertaining races thus far, so this year Monaco just feels that extra dull

You would think after recent success that Grosjean would not be an idiotic selfish baguette and then he goes and causes a collision with Magnussen. Brilliant!

Yeah I'm so pissed off by Grosjean right now. Didn't expect his idiocy to cause damage to Kevin, but yeah this sucks
