Ouch, thought I was cheeky with sending Mohs here, which seemed like a good idea and especially as it allowed me to plan his season differently. Froome up to his neck with strong opponents, too. While Kinoshita were adored by the game last year, he performed on certain stage races and classics which is not equal to TdU.
Many wildcards for the GC and overall a rough field throughout the race. Last time Fablok were sponsor here, they took 2 stage wins and a 2nd place on the last stage. I hope we can do even better points wise this time in the GC. Hyped for this race to get going!

A lot has changed since Dowsett won this race a few seasons ago. Will be good to follow the first stage race of the season, after tomorrow's classics.

Big race for the team as the whole squad is full of Aussie and NZ riders! We are hoping for a good showing and maybe even a win from Von Hoff who definitely is good enough to grab a win!
Super excited for the start of the MG season!!

Back into it! I think the GC is too hard to predict at the moment, but nonetheless it should be a top race.

This for obvious reasons.
Bar and Bercz probably won't feature much here.

They could've been part of Kumps leadout train though to combine your preferred (P)CT forces

Looking forward to follow this first stage race, could be a very important race also in CT, if some of "our" teams do (to ) well.

Wow, now thingssre really moving along!
Disappointed that Manninen didn't even try sprinting for minor positions but happy that Gautier kept himself out of trouble at least.

A bit disappointed with Bouhanni's performance there. Very pleased to see the young Mas out in the breakaway as I'm hoping he and Novak get in as many as possible this season!

Fablok's duo off to a blinder Shame for Kump to not top 5 but not bad (still GC ) and Svab is Fab for Isostar, great performance for the young gun in the breakaway and to claim white for now as well with bonuses.

Great report, thanks roturn and congrats to sgdanny.
A bit of work to do on the lead out trains.
Very happy to see we got Cav in a competitive place and Kreder can mix it with the other lead outs. 3rd and 4th are good points however they come.
Sad to see the late crash taking riders out of GC contention, Flügel safe thank goodness.

First 1-2 of the season for Guardini-Mohs. It seems like Mohs can't avoid being part of a super sprint duo

As you have seen it didn't work. Fablok just very lucky that there was no proper other leadout, otherwise they would've struggled to reach the podium with Mohs loosing the wheel of Guardini. I am still convinced that they'd score better alone.
On another word: Kump off expectations. Should've finished better to keep the distance to green closer.
Svab with a fantastic performace, hope he keeps white & polka dot for as long as possible. He already scored more than our full squad in DUC.

Well first off all; oh yeah!! Feels good to get a 1-2 this early and don't really care that Guardini took the stage win instead of Mohs. As for them being able to cooperate together in a train is still unknown due to the randomness of this stage and that same happened with Cavendish/Kreder. They will pair for most of the season except some of the more sprinter oriented races, so hope it won't be a problem. Cohen being able to help out is a good sign, too though
Feels good to get off to a good start and thanks all!

Congrats Danny on the first 1-2 of the season. 12th for Serebriakov is not what I hoped when planning, but seeing this field it's kinda expected. Hopefully Kadri or Klemme can get a good result in the upcoming stages.

Well done Danny, if this form continues, we'll be seeing a Polish squad grace the PT next year! Hope it does
