Will be fun to see what Cicero can do, either him or Avelino in a race like this.

2nd year in a row I've come to this race with no real ambitions. No sprint squad to rely on, however last season we pulled out 4th place with a late Summerhill attack. So who knows what this season can provide. Excited to be going!

Excited for the first race. A good number of top sprinters here.
With Coutinho and Avelino we are hoping for a top5 result, eventually the win.
Good luck everyone!

Allez Romain! Should be pretty damn solid here with Ulanowski to lead him out, and a top 3 should be achievable I guess. You never know though, sprints are a massive gamble.
Good to see the season starting to run again

Fan mode on: kupfernagel for the win.
Fan mode off: Good to see the season start and with this race and with this start list. I hope it does not happen a big surprise as in last edition, Kupfernagel may have a chance to shine again in australia. For it has the invaluable help of Bruno Santos, the real goal is a place in the top 5.

First of the major sprinter-fest, sure there will be lots of dashed hopes and (manager's) tears at the finish. My definitive prediction is for a number of rage-posts whatever the result . Picking a victor here is pretty much a guessing-game, but that's not going to stop me from prognosticating - I place my tipping curse on Zabel to kick-off the season in style for Heine's (deserved imo) promotion favourites.

Nice seeing the PCT and other division getting started
Glad my team won't race here, my bet is a late attack like last year. |

If Lo Cicero can't win this, what else?
Although my personal sympathies belong to Bouhanni as a former Puma rider (I still consider selling him for basically nothing as somewhat of a mistake), and Zabel due to good relations with Heine.
And as in every HC race this season, please no sneaky surprise PT wins!

Finally the season is under way. Didn't chose the HC band for Zabel, but hopefully he will get a good result. Not the favorite, so will be interesting to see how he does

... And I thought I'd picked an easy HC band with handicapped PT teams, barely any PCT teams and sucky CT teams Oh well. Top 30, perhaps? |

Super super excited to be kicking off the season soon! No big hopes here really, as there are too many top sprinters here, so a top 10 for Matthews would be satisfying. |

Hopefully one of the three guys I've got on the startlist due to loan outs will be able to get into the break. That or do some nice work to setup their sprinter.

Really hoping Bouhanni does well here! I have a good lead out so I hope the train forms. If not then I hope for an attack from Cornu but that may be a bit hopeful. Should be a cracker of a race to start the season!!!

I'm a bit surprised to see the hill/sprint guys here, as there are surely better race days for them out there and they aren't quick enough on paper to win a straight-up bunch sprint.
Lo Cicero looks like a good bet here, as you would expect.

Thanks for the report roturn. 13th isn't too disappointing, but considering Petit was given 5 stars by PCM and seeing some of the dross that finished in front of him, I can be a little frustrated |

What a start for Valio in PCT, congrats Atlantius!
Did Impey/Van Heerden still believed it was preseason? Sorry for you there SN. |

Surprised about a few sprinters really over performing there but in the end this one really is not anywhere anywhere near being an indication for the sprints to come. Congrats Atlantius, would have been quite disappointing to miss Ciceros best chance. Oh and great report roturn!

Lo cicero looks great, pt seemed to be a step too much but with alaks training last year he will could prove to be ahlstrands biggest competitor in PCT.
Congratz to privatbank and valio who got the most out of this race
