This is the squad that will race for Generali - AXA throughout the 2016 season, as well as the riders we've loaned out and our stagiares.
Ulissi indicating the thousands of points he'll gather until the end of the season.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | 76 | 66 | 80 | 62 | 83 | 71 | 72 | 51 | 74 | 75 | 75 | 63 | 62 |
Diego Ulissi will be our outright leader and probably top scorer. He is a superb puncheur that is sometimes compared to PT dominator and fellow countryman Simone Ponzi for their technical similarities. Ulissi can in fact count on a great sprint and acceleration, but on an even better stamina when the mileage crowds around in his legs. He even participate to a sprint training camp to have an even bigger advantage on some of his top rivals, lacking that skill for the most part.
Teunissen is cooler than you.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | 76 | 61 | 65 | 64 | 77 | 73 | 70 | 81 | 67 | 69 | 71 | 79 | 64 |
Mike Teunissen is one of the top cobblers in the division, and should carry us some much needed points in that kind of speciality. Whilst we don't believe he can match superman Danny Summerhill, he can at least have some realistic expectations of podiums in most classics. He'll have a valid support in Fabien Taillefour, last year's GP Herning winner, a race we aim to defend the title in, in Edward Theuns, another addition we'll talk about soon, and Fabrice Jeandesbosz.
A sexy looking Van Winden is looking to win (over) as many TTs as possible.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | 74 | 53 | 63 | 80 | 70 | 70 | 74 | 57 | 59 | 72 | 79 | 63 | 80 |
Dennis Van Winden is our leading Time Trialist. Which is saying much, considering we have 9 of them over 75 Time Trial! He doesn't particularly like hills and mountains, but he loves flat roads. And as a good Dutchie, straight roads as well. He's the one we're relying on the most to achieve 3 of our goals, and he'll be supported by a great TTT train we'll go in deeper detail later.
Theuns wins something and appears to be happy about it.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | 72 | 67 | 73 | 65 | 76 | 73 | 74 | 75 | 77 | 76 | 64 | 67 | 70 |
Edward Theuns is our leading sprinter, believe it or not, which says a lot about how we are not looking to perform well in sprints at all. But I promise, considering the potential sprint train we can build, that we will in the next years. That said, Theuns is an excellent super domestique for any kind of classic, as he can survive hills quite well, eats cobbles for breakfast being a Belgian, and is a top notch leadout as well. He says he is going to train hard in the next seasons to improve his cobbles skills, as he dreams to excel in that kind of terrain in a couple of years.
As you perfectly know, Viviani is best known as a time trialist and pistard.
FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CO | SP | AC | FT | DH | PR | 78 | 60 | 66 | 79 | 71 | 77 | 74 | 60 | 71 | 70 | 73 | 64 | 79 |
Elia Viviani is the best track cyclist on the planet. And he also does road at Generali - AXA, being our shared TT leader with Dennis Van Winden. Contrary to the Dutchie, he can actually do other stuff besides TTing, such as sprinting and going over mountains. He will be one of our leadouts, should it be needed, but we really think and hope not. He'll take part to Duo Differdange along with Van Winden in the hope we can achieve our goal, why not going over the podium, and why fucking not win the whole thing. 230k totally worth it.

Amazing squad of leaders! You should´ve taken Yatsevich though, know he will kill everyone on CT level glad I didn´t battle for TTists against you...
you shouldn´t have any relegation trouble, I guess you´ll end up mid-table with a great looking base for an attack into promotion battle next year...

Teunissen is cooler than you.
Hey, my mum says I'm cool!
Good team though, I'm sure Ulissi's going to be giving us headaches this year And I always love a good TTT setup, looks like you'll be pretty close to the best in the division as well!

You got some depth when it comes to TT, you sure do
I had a planning to get van Winden myself but his wage went a bit higher then I had planned
Ulissi and Teunissen will score you valuable pts every race they enter.
Good luck! |

Power on the flat, very impressive. Ulissi is a great steal, even for 500k.. should have gone higher probably hehe. His stamina will make his opponents cry. (It's basically the anti-thesis to real Ulissi who has got like no stamina at all..). Very good team, glad we didn't clash as much this time around as last season.

Nah you shouldn't have gone any higher
I think we were bound to clash (and a lot) during transfers anyway, but thanks to some different rider types focuses we limited the damage I guess!

Whilst we don't believe he can match superman Danny Summerhill, he can at least have some realistic expectations of podiums in most classics.
So I don't have the greatest support in the world for Danny, seeing you have some nice guys like Taillefour and Theuns, if you could help chase down some breakaways it would be much appreciated!

New sponsors, and a shiny new jersey for 2017!
Sponsors come and sponsors go: we're yet to know whether we will ride in the highest division or we will continue in PCT for another season, and AXA has therefore decided that following this unsure future they'll step down from a secondary sponsor position. We however fondly thank them for their support and hope that they've enjoyed our partnership as much as the team management did.
That being said, we're delighted to announce that thanks to our great results from the past season, we've managed to attract a new sponsorhip from another high profile French company: Électricité de France, operating in the energy sector and the biggest supplier in their home country.
Because of these changes, our riders will be happy to know that the talented, up and coming graphic designer krisa, teaming up with the experienced cycle clothing company Santini, has come up with an absolutely brilliant new kit for the 2017 season. No words can truly describe how breathtaking it looks, so just have a look for yourself at the 2D render shown below!

Tom Tom's back? No, you can't have Vanttome.
Beautiful jersey though, especially with that amazing bird design, should stand out well too with a unique colour combination.
