Actually a great question. you know if you do bigger then 30x30, it becomes 30x30.
does the stage editor converts area's lower then 30x30 also to 30x30? so that you can create for example monaco easier, but bigger in scale?
nice to see you back on the forum
Thank You, Will make a big entrance too later |

Yes, but the road will still large and IBs still big.
And also how do to respect the distance of your race ?

Well the distance is maybe a little longer or much bigger if you make it small and it works, but if you make Monaco GP for example, you can just reduce the amount of laps so that the distance still be the same as normal |

You can find it in (roughly) Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/PCM 2015/CTStageEditor.exe
There are some nice tutorials in french here and here. Even if you don't speak french, google translating the pages should give you some good tips. And in general, you can always ask here on the forum
edit: And btw, next time use a different thread for general questions, this one for example.

Japanese races can actually be made without heightmaps since DEM files exist for Japan.

Not to make it too complicated.

The stage making tip's advice to use bikeroutetoaster, but seems that is no longer working.
Where do you then create your GPX files

Another option Tamijo is bikemap.net. ONce you create the route you can export as gpx or kml. Unfortunately it doesn't like going along major highways and tries to take bike paths if possible, but you can just move the route from the bike paths to the roads. Sorry, to reply to this thread but thought others might like to know the options out there where DEM files exist.
