Very random sprint.. Decent from Trentin, even though I had higher hopes for him in a group sprint like that, but seems like he was very alone at the final. Poor performance from Steurs in that way.

Well it looks like the primary contenders were all afraid of a sprint finish. This pushed them into a battle of attack and counter attack. AMEX-Navigon played to both of thier strengths - Baugnies trid to attack late but too much was being contested so he could not get clear, the Breschel was able to sprint to 7th place, Baugnes held on for 10th and we also picked up points at at 23rd and 24th.
A solid outing in a start list even the PT cannot put together. Congrats to puma & Daniels for a smart, conservative plan and the win.

Okay, I clearly am sleep deprived because I just hallucinated we got a 1-3 here. Congratulations to whoever actually won, I'm going back to sleep.

Congrats to cio93. Nutresa also happy with our day out at the race today, 2 surviving in the lead group, and VDB grabbing an impressive (and surprising in a sprint) 4th place for us - excellent; perhaps his good stamina on top of cobbled ability played some part in this longer semi-classic?. Del Nero backing up with a solid 12th ensures a healthy PPRD return so mission accomplished. This makes me feel a wee bit better about the late decision during transfers to sell Ochoa Quintero to Compal and try and re-shape around the edges (e.g. bringing in VDB to get a cobbled presence). Lack of coble depth obvious though with all the rest of the team in the large autobus.
Thanks for the nice report TSM. I was a wee bit worried early on when had difficulty spotting our jerseys in the diminishing group, must have been well hidden on the wheels! .

Zardini did well to get 15th place, not sure if he was boxed in during that sprint or just didn't have the energy as he looked in exactly the same place compared to the rider to his left and slightly ahead the whole way.

Tough stage for us as Summerhill gave it everything he had, but too much time after the cobbles allowed for too many stronger sprinters to get into the picture. Will take the 6th, would have liked better, but won't lose sleep over it.

Was a little surprised that none of my team was in the final selection but at least Lampier joined the break away

So, backing De Backer and leaving Langeveld worked out like, not at all. Stupid management decision by my side. Looks like PCM just forgot about us somewhere along the road. If it wasn't for Dwaars, I would go mental here in March..
Great report as I've come to known by you in the little time I'm here in MG, tsmoha!

Thomas again in the Top5. Solid point scoring consistency from him in most classics is good but again he probably should be doing a little better in a race as suited to him as that. Grashev stuck with the front group, if only he could have been a bit more help. Taking some time to get a whole team unit working together in these races.
