We Got what we came for. A stagewin, a yellow jersey and some good points. Too bad that Trofimov was this good. I would have liked it if we could Keep the Jersey for one more stage.
Ricco did fine losing just 11 seconds to Trofimov. Im sorry for Metinvest though. Dreadful start to the season.

Too bad Gossy couldn't benefit from a position, that looked pretty okay there. Well, will take that 6th place then, though a slightly better finish would be nice now. He still has to justify that I kept him despite a very good offer during the transfer season
Funny to read the name "Phelan" that much these days, by the way. Good to see him attacking. That's his only "right to exist" on our team afterall

@tsmoha: tell Gossy to get his fat ass out of Holloway's way next time slow piece of WC curse shyte
Holloway sprinting at last after Qatar fiasco ... Pokerstars really getting going here good for them.
Trofitruffles taking a day off, quite surprising!

Nice 5th place by Ahlstrand!
And Lövkvist loosing time maybe he will try to get in the break in one of those hillier stages? |

I had expected Yatsevich to finish better in the prologue, especially considering what he showed in Qatar.
Aberasturi not sprinting again, and i guess he won't except in the PCT HC races. Not that he has any chance of winning or even getting a top 10, but it would still be nice to see him atleast try.

Excellent start from Rein Taaramae. Although Trofimov is already showing how ludicrously good he is

A nice start from Boasson Hagen, being better than I expected on the prologue. Hopefully that's a good sign. Also very nice to see Trofimov stay away from the sprint, as you never know when he grabs some handy bonus seconds on such stages.
Congratulations to beagle, and thanks a lot for not only one, but two reports, roturn! |

Good effort from Tzortzakis getting another top 10. Coppel stayed another day in the lead giving a little bit extra to the points count.

Good to see Petit get involved - unfortunately the field is just a bit too strong for him. Hoping Roux can push for a top 10/15 on GC. |

Goss
Quite impressive how less points he brought to Oz in his first (wasted) race days... well then.. Hopefully Bobridge will do better now.
Nice to see Durbridge showing himself.. Lay though.. Maksimov.. Goss.. loser

Another 7th here. Tzortzakis just doesn't have it in him. He was well placed here, and should have been 5th atleast. Oh well, we always kinda knew that, and as long as he sprints, while consistantly being around top 10 then I am happy. Losing the Jersey today was a no-brainer, although it would have been interesting to see what he could do with it.

I decided to make a bet for Stage 4.
I will post it not before 8pm today as I have football practice. So at least 9h time from now.

First win of the season! Great job by Van Stayen.
The next stage will be interesting, now. I would have been optimistic about Van Stayen’s GC chances if he was in yellow after this stage, but now I’m not so sure. Hopefully he won’t lose too much time to the better punchers, so that we still have a shot at a decent GC placement.

Van Staeyen proving he's quite a rider after his training as this time Van Avermaet's bad acceleration in the leadout didn't cost him that much. Congratulations, Sykkel_Freak!
Good to see Boasson Hagen safe through another flat stage, hopefully he's up for it on stage 4. Really needs to see something significantly better than in Badaling.
But if it turns out to be more for the puncheurs also capable on the mountains, a successful breakaway won't be a bad thing, but I guess it will be close to impossible for us to join that, having the best puncheur on paper. Obviously a key stage for the GC as this one and stage 7 look like the most difficult looking at the climbs.
Thanks for the report, roturn! |

Smart and effective riding. He should start sprinting from 5km out next time.

Okay 4th is pretty smart over here in France - our simul team in Italy are raping the field so I cannot expect the same here with very much the Z team.
Behind Frankenstiens monster (and of course a Red Bull alumni) and the Green beefcakes I will not complain at all. Great stuff Holloway we are beginning to get there. Next time don't be a dick and go for bonus seconds really that is for the lower caste of teams like Oz Cycling etc.
