Interesting route for sure! Looks like one for the climbers, and the flat TT coming at the end of the race can't be a bad thing for them either thinking of the fact that recovery has truly shown its importance for similar stages the previous season.
From stage 11 and out it's really brutal stuff, but I'd say luckily there aren't lots of unrealistic stages in terms of climbing with stage 17 looking like the queen stage.
Definitely looking forward to this one! |

Great route, rather for pure mountain goats than all around stage racers, but that is how the Giro should be.
This route screams Alarcon quite a bit.
Oz will lead after the TT and can hold that quite for along maybe with someone like Bobridge present. Not the best start for Igantiev, when it is not ITT but TTT. Lets see who will come in during transfers and if it will be possible leader here. Cunego maybe?

Would've been a great route for Sella if I kept him, considering the TT km, might send Monsalve here this season, or another climber if I sign one. I like the route, though I would've expected more hilly-heavy from the organizers to try to fit it for a last song from Cungeo. I suspect this route will be won by someone like Schleck/Madrazo if they participate

Not sure why you guys assume my team will win every TTT in ProTour Anyway, liking the look of the first week. The TTT will definitely offer a nice chance to keep pink for a while. Of course there are several teams, which will aim for that, so please stop talking about Oz leading here

Yeah, because PT is full of teams with eight 77+ TTists.
I will try to jinx it whole year after facing OZ clock monster for few years, deal with it.

Will look forward to this one! I have played this variant a couple of times in previous careers. Definitely a tough route, but at the same time well-balanced. Should be one of my main goals this season.

Apparently the Troika approved Greece paying money to RCS Sport

Well, at the moment obviously I don't even know who'll I'll have to send here, but looking at it a pure climber could go reasonably well with just the one flat ITT at the end. As ever, Ponzi will likely nick stages from the sprinters if he's here so there's that to consider as well. And as a part French team, we know which stage we'll be gunning for |

This is route is brilliant. Well composed with still a really challenging route which is awesome. Really looking forward to the race, but doubt we will apply for a wildcard as a spanish team though

At a first look, I don't see any stage that would suit my team. We're probably going to help Brambilla finish as high as possible in the GC.

Looks like a very exciting course. I like the Greek start, but I'm really looking forward to stages 9 and 17. I bet the dirt roads will cause some surprises. It will be cool to see the Giro finish on the Alpe d'Huez too! Nice preview.
Surprised you didn't mention Stage 14 and it's Swiss finish as a potential target for you aswell.
