It's sunday and De Ronde is once a year. I'll watch the whole damn thing of course.
Already looking forward to the masses of fans on the sidelines. So stoked for RvV!
The only thing I'm pissed off about is the 'expected sun' and hell no Cancellara to put the other riders to the sword.
Sun is alright, it'll draw in more crowds and De Ronde is much more an event than Paris-Roubaix. I hope the clouds save their water for the next sunday when the Hell of the North is up.
Cance missing is a shame but it opens up the race and hopefully we'll get some even more thrilling race this way.

Well its obvious that Sky will produce the winner, as Etixx are guaranteed to fuck things up again........... especially when Vandenbergh starts to chase down his own teammate, or provide shelter behind his big frame for a main rival. |

I don't think rain is good for de Ronde because you got descents with mud and oil on them. It would proper carnage like when Boom and TV motorbike crashed in Dwars and then Devolder.
I really hope no one crashes out in the first 100km on some traffic furniture like Tommeke did in 2013. |

Since I am not at home, when the race is live...can someone record and upload it, please? or at least send me a link via PM, if there is some footage on youtube(after the race ofc ) Its hard enough, to not look in skype. Because when I look in skype and certain persons shout "STYBY!!! NICE WIN!" the fun of watching it would be gone...

Cycling Hub should release final kilometres and maybe the full race |

For those wondering when to tune in, I'd say 101 km to go with Haaghoek-Leberg, Berendries and Valkenberg in quick succession. The final will really start with 54 to go at 1st Oude Kwaremont.
A true fan watches when the race goes on air which is 11.30 UK time, but of course that depends if you have the time of course.
Well, I will be watching live from 9:30, but not everyone can watch Sporza or, as you say, has the time to watch the entire race. That's why I added the two marks.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Speaking of Boom, what's up with him lately? He doesn't seem to have any form nor has been in the focus so far at the spring classics, contrary to previous years. On top of that, he's crashing all over the place. I expected way more this season from him after his Tour victory and the move to Astana. But looks like he might as well should have stayed at LottoNL to help Vanmarcke, would have been smarter.

Need a little help. For the first time, I'm not in Belgium for the Ronde. Does anyone know if you can get streams from Sporza (so from morning to finish)? |

Pretty sure you can. Procycling Live usually has streams of Sporza. |

Now that Boom's at Astana that's probably the reason. That team doesn't have that much ambition or history for the cobbled classics so I was kind of surprised to see Boom go to them. I'm gussing he's just gone there to provide more power on the flat for the team in the GT's.
Boom going to Astana was also part of Cannondale Garmin's lack of ambition for the cobbled classics as they also let Vansummeran go, now that Langeveld crashed with Cancellara they have no one of note at Flanders (unless Langeveld is riding) |

Interesting but I don't believe they have a team that can support Boom in these races at the moment but of course I'll reserve judgement on that until after the Ronde. |

It could be worse... Easter could be on the same day as Paris - Roubaix

My money would be on Stybar or Thomas. I doubt anyone would want to get to the finish line with Kristoff, besides I'm not so sure he has the punch to go with the top favourites when they accelerate on the cobbles. If a group gets clear I suspect they will all be more than happy to work to avoid getting him back in the game, so it will be a hard race for Katusha if they want it to come down to a sprint.
If Vanmarcke is in the same shape as last year he will definitely be a strong contender too, but he has been a bit disappointing lately. He did show promise in Omloop though and I expect him to win a monument sooner rather than later. Would be nice to see Sagan getting a monument too. He should be able to follow the attacks, but has a bit of the same problem as Kristoff. Nobody wants to sprint against him.
Either way it looks like it's going to be an open and exciting race. Been looking forward to this for quite some time. Can't wait. |
