So based on last year's goals, I presume Keizer is now for sale?

You had me worried for a moment there, because it would be crazy to have Monterrey clash with Vancouver in the calendar. Fortunately it is Andorra that clashes with Monterrey, not Vancouver!

Monterrey doesn't clash with Vancouver though
Oh, I will miss racing the Duo and Monterrey. Defending champions and no chance to repeat those titles.

This year, Oz would loose at least one of them anyway.

@SN: Ah, correct. Anyway. It was a clash with a race that could lead to problems.
And I think Keizer is as tradeable as Bellis was last year at that time.
@tsmoha: Yes. Unlucky you. Lucky rest of us.
@Cio: I hope so yes.
@Avin: As long as you don`t win both, I am fine. In especially the Duo Differdange obviously. |

Really nice goals. You can end easily with a 5/5.

Looks like a very mature approach. Duo Differdange especially sounds like a perfect match for your team.
As SN said, Keizer's future sell will ruin a few of those, but LLS seems capable of controlling the damage. Wonder what's his transfer status...

It is one of the most exciting things year for year. Seeing what others have done with potential transfer targets. Some might be cut from lists, others added when seeing their new wage.
Also Aegon - Lavazza is presenting the 2015 wages. Most important that all our leaders decided to accept a paycut, which was needed a lot. Our big goal going into the renewals was to bring our PT budget down to a PCT budget without the need to lose any rider.
Obviously it helped that the team was formed last year with this goal already and this way it wasn`t too difficult. In especially the leaving of Gomez Marchante and Ballan already reduced the wage cap a lot. With Christian Müller a 3rd rider was released to the FA market and we like to thank all three of them. In especially first two might look for a CT team to pick them up as they are supposed to have some nice value in the CT division.
Coming back to the 2015 roster. Keizer and LLS both went down a bit making room for one more contract already. With a high scoring potential, both are on very good contracts now.
The biggest paycut was accepted by Nizzolo, which was important as he was one of the very few riders we picked up on the FA market last year and this way he was a bit higher than comparable riders. His 2015 wage will be much more in the correct area. Boom goes into the 4th season and also accepted his 3rd consecutive paycut. Thanks a lot Mr. Boom.
Regarding our top talents. Krieger and Olivier both were rewarded for their development and their wage is highered a bit. Same goes for Schachmann who get`s a small NC bonus in 2015.
Our cobbled specialists Vanmarcke and Nooytens are both on very good deals for 2015 and we hope, this won`t reduce their motivation to score high. Same goes for time trial beast Schädlich.
The others accepted the minimum contract of 50.000 €, which helps to save some more cap for new additions.
Last but not least Anthony Roux. The French puncheur is said to have some interest by several teams. He is most likely to leave the team in transfers and seeing his very low wage of only 170.000 € for a rider of his strength, he could easily be a great rider in any division and should suit in nearly every team`s salary cap. His value surely climbs with the wage reduction.
So what does the 2014 wages mean? First is obvious. With 20 renewed riders the main goal is reached. The total wage is 155.000 € below the PCT salary cap. So we are not forced to trade any rider. It actually still leaves room for 1-3 riders. The renewed riders accepted a paycut of 248.000 € in total. More than we had expected to be honest.
Last Name | First Name | 2015 Wage | 2014 Wage | Difference | Keizer | Martijn | 460.000 € | 495.000 € | -35.000 € | Sanchez Gil | Luis Leon | 415.000 € | 450.000 € | -35.000 € | Nizzolo | Giacomo | 185.000 € | 250.000 € | -65.000 € | Boom | Lars | 175.000 € | 220.000 € | -45.000 € | Roux | Anthony | 170.000 € | 210.000 € | -40.000 € | Vanmarcke | Sep | 135.000 € | 150.000 € | -15.000 € | Schädlich | Lucas | 85.000 € | 100.000 € | -15.000 € | Olivier | Daan | 78.000 € | 62.000 € | 16.000 € | Krieger | Alexander | 72.000 € | 50.000 € | 22.000 € | Nooytens | Sven | 65.000 € | 85.000 € | -20.000 € | Schachmann | Maximillian | 55.000 € | 50.000 € | 5.000 € | Villella | Davide | 50.000 € | 63.000 € | -13.000 € | Koep | Thomas | 50.000 € | 58.000 € | -8.000 € | Thurau | Björn | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Dumoulin | Tom | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | De Vries | Berden | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Sbaragli | Kristian | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Frison | Frederik | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Grand | Arnaud | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Edmondson | Alexander | 50.000 € | 50.000 € | 0 € | Gomez Marchante | José Angel | Free Agent | 450.000 € | - | Ballan | Alessandro | Free Agent | 160.000 € | - | Müller | Christian | Free Agent | 50.000 € | - | | | 2.345.000 € | 3.253.000 € | -248.000 € |

Looks like a very successful renewals for you. A very strong squad already there that is well under cap, should mean you can make 1 or 2 quality additions and be a huge favourite to promote. |

I think the actual team might be better than my after transfers team.
This is why I consider a lot at the moment. |

The team said pre transfers, that the team will more or less stay together and only a very few riders might leave. Fools! Obviously a relegation needed to see some fresh faces and so ~1/4 of the team was traded in the last couple of days.
It is important to say that none of those riders is made responsible for the relegation and it is pure bad luck that it did hit those.
Some riders like Luis Leon Sanchez Gil would have loved to be kept. But the team manager is not only looking at the 2015 season but also the long term, in which the Spaniard might not have been the very best any longer. So instead we have to say goodbye to Lulu and except to see him paying it back to us as we will face him in several races I fear. Hopefully he remembers how nice we were to him.
Second big name to leave the team is the French puncheur Anthony Roux. He was the only obvious and announced transfer pre transfers. He was just planned for the PT season to higher our chances to survive and now we sold him knowing that the money we get for him is a great opportunity for other riders to improve.
Then we have two very unfortunate trades. Reason for this duo is simple. Since last year the National restriction is much stricter and the manager decided to cut it down to the 4 Nations Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Belgium. So our young prospects and liked riders Alexander Edmondson and Arnaud Grand had to leave. While first is joining the Pro Tour to the big liking of our manager, 2nd might probably be seen a lot as we hit him in this years PCT.
As I said more than a couple of trades, we can`t stop here. 2 more riders have left the team and those actually come from the focussed Nations. While Berden De Vries asked to leave the team after getting only a very limited amount of race days in last years season, which we followed, seeing the 2nd rider leave the team hurts a lot more. Giacomo Nizzolo was supposed to lead our team in the sprints this year. But as the Italian heard some rumours about some of the managers plans, he became angry. And so the management decided to let him go. He will face us probably as he joined PCT team AMEX and we hope to stay in nice touch with him in future.
I could go on like this when I traded all riders that quickly. But luckily the rest of the team seems to stay. Obviously this sentence does not seem to mean a lot.
I also wanted to present some riders joining the team, but the manager was too busy with all the riders leaving, that he was not able to sign a single rider yet. Rumours are saying, that the manager locked himself in his office after finding 2 boxes of Rothaus leftovers and it might take a while until he is able to look for more riders. |

Say Hello to our new riders
It took a long time until the team was able to present the first riders joining the team for the 2015 season. Meanwhile they were down to 14 riders only, so a lot of work was needed and apparently the Rothaus leftovers were emptied after 2 days and so the manager got himself up to sign some contracts.
As planned for quite some time now, one rider just had to sign the contract. We are talking about Dylan Groenewegen, who was by far the number 1 target and he comes on a 420,000€ wage and is planned to have signed a multiple year contract.
Dylan Groenewegen (22) - 4.1 exp - 420,000€ - Sprinter
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 71 | 59 | 65 | 63 | 73 | 69 | 83 | 59 | 80 | 79 | 59 | 63 | 70 |
And just a few minutes ago we heard about our 2nd big signing this season. It`s young Italian climber Fabio Aru. It was the present for co-sponsor Lavazza after we unfortunately lost Nizzolo. The Italian is supposed to support Keizer in some races but also gets his own chances for sure. He is some kind of long term prospect also signing a longer contract.
Fabio Aru (25) - 4.100 exp - 250,000€ - Climber
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 67 | 78 | 74 | 64 | 74 | 75 | 76 | 50 | 56 | 70 | 56 | 70 | 64 |
So with those two top signings, we are still not at the end. Some more riders were added to the squad as useful domestiques or prospects for the future.
Those three are:
Jasper Bovenhuis (24) - 3.0 exp - 70,000€ - Cobbler
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 70 | 58 | 68 | 59 | 71 | 68 | 70 | 70 | 62 | 68 | 75 | 64 | 59 |
Stef Clement (33) - 4.100 exp - 50,000€ - Time trialist
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 74 | 67 | 71 | 74 | 71 | 75 | 72 | 58 | 59 | 72 | 77 | 66 | 74 |
Kristof Vandewalle (30) - 4.100 exp - 50,000€ - Time trialist
FL | MO | HI | TT | STA | RES | REC | COB | SP | ACC | FI | DH | PRL | 71 | 58 | 64 | 76 | 70 | 68 | 71 | 65 | 62 | 73 | 74 | 64 | 76 |
We welcome all new signings and expect more news to come in the next couple of day. |
