Thanks Atlantius. Finland is of no interest to me. Like no interest at all.

Strava partners up with RoadID
As a company, website and Continental Team that promotes the healthy adventures that offer cycling, and in lack of any other signifcant relevant news, we are proud to announce our latest support of the Strava CT-cause: RoadID is an american company, fabricating wristbands, necklaces and other very useful items, that help to identiy you and inform first-helpers in case of an emergency.
We are always concerned about safety, too. Unfortunately, deaths of cyclist occur every year and with number of professional and hobby cyclists increasing, so is their death and injury toll. Car drivers can be aggressive at times, but it's also our responsibility to take care of our riding and our safety.Helmet, knowledge of the road rules, cautious of your surrounding. You know the drill. We ride on the street, and as such we are endangered by it.
It's a sad fact, that various professionals have been victim of a road accident in recent years, each of them a tragedy and a loss to the cycling world.
Always keep in mind that safety stands before cracking the next KoM or hitting 100 kph in a downhill. Beware of the road and other road users. The scenery may be all too stunning, but the road ahead of you is still what counts the most.
For the unfortunate event of an accident, we have now teamed up with Road ID and we'd like to promote them in order to help cyclists around the globe. Strava and RoadID get hand-in-hand in their understanding of the importance of safety and the love for cycling.
For us this means that we our future riders get benefit of receiving some stylish exclusive wristband. And that's about it... but well, you know what the say: Health is more important than money (Though a little bit of money would be nice as well, we guess)
In any case, this will allow our future riders to be identified and we get notifieded immediately. Both in the States and around the world, this can help our riders and you survive, as you receive fast medical help.
Think of your loved ones when you're out there.

More International Than You Think?
With a huge batch of anglophone teams hitting the continental front this upcoming season, Strava may in for a hard time on the transfer market. Especially with a team like Oz Cycling Project having an reknown hegemony over the oceanic market, Strava CT didn't have the best cards to play from the start either.
In the Strava HQ, there are talks that the project is doomed to fail before it even started. Though the english-userbase of the website may demand some familiar faces, Strava is already for looking options outside of the regular spots in order to achieve a successful debut season.
Of course, when it comes down to marketing, Strava isn't at loss for an excuse. "We are based in San Fransisco, but are represented globally. People in Laos rank up KoMs every day, thousand of kilometers are ridden in Gabon. I heard even people in Finland ride bikes. When we hire international riders and form a globally strong squad than this is a move in order to honour our diverse, broad userbase. English is our first language but luckily, we speak many, many other tongues", states team manager Shonak, and dreams of a global united world under Strava rule. "The country isn't so important for the riders. But rather it is that those riders can identify with the Strava philosophy & lifestyle, and the money that we throw at them."

Very good to see you in the Man Game. I will keep a close eye on the team in the transfer period to see what type of team you go for. Your latest posts lead me to think that you will form a team with no strict nationality base: that tactic paid dividends for the team which won the cont. title this season.
Anyhow best of luck, I'm sure you will be a top addition. |

Cheers mate, I'll follow Bonscuro closely as well!
I don't know which riders I'm going, just want to keep my options open hehe. I have downloaded the DB of last season but didn't even look at it yet.

Lots of stuff going on right now down at Strava HQ. We have selected our bands to race, our goals we want to achieve and are currently looking at the rider (types) that are to achieve those goals and deliver a good season for us. And maybe one or two of those guys can identify with the hardcore-lifestyle we propagate.
Though strava management has some surprise moves in their mind, it becomes obvious that we have spent way too much time developing our super awesome app in recent years and have followed too little ManGame cycling. So, like that we feel like we got hit by another world, swept right off our feet. But we'll dig through the data and come out smarter.
But as a consequence, it will take some time for us to get used to all of this. Better go out for a ride to get our head clear!

Took us a while to figure out we had to do something regarding the Shirt Database but we managed to submit aidanvn13's wonderful jersey to the database eventually. As a reward, Gustavovskiy published our microjersey, which we'll be seen in many reports this season. Thanks to Gustavovskiy for the effort and for providing us with such detailed display even in the smallest sizes!
Tadada!

Currently the hot period of the transfer time keeps us up at night and far from our bikes. We spent more on the telephone, arranging secret deals and seeing them fail, then we do in our beloved mountains. But it's all good and worth it, once you have the riders you went for and see them soon in your jersey.
So, without further delay, let's get down to business:
Andrew Tennant, 28
Probably our star signing of the season, he came for a fair transfer price of 325k from SN's Eritel - Sonatrach. Tennant is current british TT champion and as such, a specialist for the long fight against the clock. But he's also a huge asset when it down to long intense races and power on the flat. A well-trained, fine english hard man with a traditional british Track history who will be key in fulfilling our goals this season.
Key Stats: TT 78, PRL 77, FL 77
Timothy Dupont, 28
A second deal was arranged in the meantime between Strava and knockout's Evonik. Another solid price convinced us to take this rider at 185k, maybe also thanks to the long EPIC & ICL history we share with the manager. Dupont will be a fast man, especially looking at the few cobbled races this season. But he'll also come in handy at various occassions, mostly depending on the further line-up of our squad. Strava HQ is also pleased to announce that he is a frequent contributor to our website and you can follow his many rides here.
Key Stats: ACC 77, SP 75, CBS 72
Anton Cooper, 21
We like us some talents and Anton Cooper, just at the age of 21, has still lots of room to develop. He'll be riding for the coming season and we reckon for some more, in our jersey and. For now, he'll be mostly having domestique duties like almost all riders are forced to the start, but we hope we'll fast mature in a solid rider.
Key Stats: FL 68, MT 68, HL 65
Christiaan Kriek, 26
This rider has been gifted to us by Pro Continental Tour Team Gazelle as a giveaway present, for which we are real thankful. The South African is a solid puncheur and helper and we'll look for some breakaway opportunities in the hillier stuff.
Key Stats: HL 73, ACC 72, FL 71
Well, that's it for now unfortunately. We hope to announce some more signings in the coming days. The sooner we have our team scrambled together the better!

Building the team slowly but steadily.
Tennant is a great addition, but he must've cost a big part of the budget |

Happy to see Kriek has found a place in your team! He was a very solid domestique for Gazelle back in CT level and I hope he does the same for Strava.

Hope to see Tennant have a great season. He has won a PT time trial in the past, but struggled to take a win in PCT for the last year or two - I think CT should see a return to winning ways!

Merely a few hours after the first confirmed transfers, Strava is proud to announce two key signings for the team. Both of them will be vital to achieving our cobbled-centered goals, but will also be quality riders throughout the season. The two new signings bring some deadly fun to the northern classics campaigns of Strava, so it should be fun to follow for us and you.
Sebastian Langeveld, 30
The Dutchman has been a free agent in the transfer period and after some bids, we secured his services for 90k per year. This is a solid wage, but his importance makes all up for it. With a combination of solid hill-climbing and extraordinary skills on the cobblestones, he is sure to lead the team in races such as Geraadsbergen and the Benelux Challenge. Especially his outstanding stamina makes him a perfect fit for the real long cracking stages. When other riders tend to fade and give up, Langeveld will be just gearing up his motor. On top of that, he is the will to fight for his results and is a real daredevil in descents. At age 30 he may be a bit old to perform on the topstep but we are sure he'll be a great addition to the Continental Tour.
Key Stats: CBS 76, FL 76, STA 76
Bert De Backer, 31
Another Belgian for our sweet team, another cobbleexpert and flandriennes. He had to endure an off-year from racing but he's back on the scene now and CT & Strava is the best place to re-launch his career. With great skills on the pavé, he'll be a nice addition to the cbs-team and may function as a second leader in the key races. Due to his nice flat skills and great sprinting he can also be a lead-out or win from a reduced bunch.
Key Stats: CBS 76, SP 74, ACC 75
With this signings, we are really enthusiastic about the upcoming pavéd races obviously and may even consider some additional races in the on the higher levels.
@Ian: Quality has its price but SN has been really nice.
@Atlantius: I hope you do, I hope you do... hehe. Thanks.
@knockout: Yeah, with some nice cbs-races and the new additions I have a good enough trio so far to make something happen. Maybe I should just prepare for disappointment though ehhe.
@aidan: Real appreciated move by Gazelle, I hope to return a favor in the future then. His quality over hills is well recognized so I hope he'll perform some fun.
@Sn: I hope you are right. His TT quality certainly stands out a bit but I've seen that many other teams have obtained some quality Time Trialists (matt with Rolland eg). Should be some good fights nonetheless.

Wow, the CT cobbles scene is war bigger than last year. Last year we only had 3 guys on 75 and 1 guy on 74. Now there are tons of new faces.
I will accept this travesty for the sake of the racing.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
