Well I had no big results this year, o of my riders really excelled, and in the end I finished right where the predictions had me at the beginning of the year. I'm not surprised by this. As SN said in review, now the team have a base to move forward. Although failing all my goals also won't help me improve in the transfer season.

Thanks for the update SN and also for the whole season of running the game and reporting, all reporters did great job with so many races across three divisions. Hoooray, it was fun.
2014 was a rollercoaster ride for Metinvest and despite first half of the season horrors, we bounced back very near to our top10 goal and very near to my expectations. Great battle for the 10-15th in the end with Meiji, Puma or AMEX was intense. Thanks for the nice words Cio and Smowz,i feel it the same.
Not sure about those next year speculations, in terms of Metinvest being close to teams like Puma or Rothaus, we still lack a piece or two and off season will give us answers.
Riders wise,Mikhail Ignatiev stands out as the best rider for Metinvest in 2014, but i probably expected even a bit more from him, still nice year for our new leader. Jaroslav Popovych struggled through the year that could have been his last near the top of PCT stage racing game, just to save it a bit in Portugal. Raboň and Hoffman both had very solid seasons, especially in its second half.
Congrats to Quicstep and all other promoting teams, best luck in the big league, lets see who will be the lucky ones in the end, i hope for lesser competition in PCT for 2015.
Congrats also to promoting CT teams and i will be happy to see you next year in PCT as opponents and as partners in transfer season (that goes for all teams and managers).

What a season. Had some lows, but mainly highs. Overall I really enjoyed the whole Man Game experience so big thanks to the active teams, reporters and SN who made it what it was.
Was pleased to help out with 64 stages myself.
Was a very unpredictable season as highlighted by this:
14 Borges Bruno POR Bonsucro 313 | 42 Nicácio Pedro BRA Bonsucro 195 | 69 Txurruka Amets ESP Bonsucro 137 |
Spoiler Last name | First name | Flat | Mountain | Hill | TT | Stamina | Resistance | Recovery | Cobbles | Sprint | Acceleration | Fighter | Downhill | Prologue | Borges | Bruno | 68 | 68 | 73 | 59 | 70 | 71 | 68 | 54 | 69 | 77 | 72 | 64 | 59 | Txurruka | Amets | 70 | 76 | 73 | 60 | 73 | 71 | 70 | 51 | 60 | 73 | 82 | 62 | 60 | Nicácio | Pedro | 69 | 75 | 70 | 75 | 70 | 72 | 73 | 52 | 56 | 70 | 70 | 66 | 75 |
No idea about PCM2014, so I will have to look into that.
--
Now, of course, a few people have not been anywhere near active enough this season, so I am interested to see how hard SN's hammer falls! |

CT reaction
You can see the top three turning into powerhouses of the division - dev4ever's ONCe outfit had that experience advantage but Scorchio and The Rider have proved wonderful managers and with excellent teams. So congrats to them.
LLS's Euskatel-Bavaria strange concoction surprised I think everyone by finishing as high as they did. Team Vontabel and Siam Cement have leaders who already could well be good enough to score well in the PCT - of course the strongest teams will be well defined but Rodregues and Wyss are great guys.
I was disappointed by TomTom slightly - not sure where it went wrong for them quite, perhaps we all overrated them pre season or did the season planning go awry somewhere? Sauber, Risa now get their chances in the second tier just continue to improve guys. Azteca and BoI bring some welcome flavour and I have been impressed by Evoniks activity too.
In the bottom 14 I think there is a mixture of inactivity and disappointment. I would say to those guys still with us - be happy some of you are really great and nice to have in the game.
In and Out suffered that dreaded financial irregularity as some have pointed that hammer can hit some harder than others. Olifardh set his Lierse team up to develop and that they did with perhaps more success that many including me had projected. ASDA and Eddie Stobart are in that overpopulated British market Eddie Stobart we in particular remember those breakaway successes but that luck will run out eventually. I think these teams though have a good base.
To Bballlover and the guys who have not much goal success you do of course have that precious assets of the riders themselves often rider swaps is a great way of getting some much needed freshness to ones team.
Atlantius much like in EPIC is a manager of curious almost Bjartne like tastes should be fun to see where he goes with his team!
Great CT season though - Gazelle's one sided domination was what I remember about last year - this time that Sugery - chocalate taste and some great new managers taking on reporting amongst other things.

I'm quite glad to see both Rodrigues and Mendes in the CT podium. Now you know business with me is quite profitable
I'm a little disapointed that Bonsucro didnt win, but Nutresa is an obviously worthy victor too. The brazilians are going to be tough competitor in transfer season now that we're on the same division.
Thanks for this final update SN

Great that we get another season at PCT level. Hopefully next year can be better than this, finishing just one place off relegation.
Looking forward to seeing all our new rivals assemble their teams after promotion this year. At the same time, a real shame to see great teams that were CT last year go down like Mobil, Project and Boeing. I hope they'll be back fighting us again after next season. |

So fucking close
7 points would you believe it?
Well we'll get 15/20 of the goal points anyway I guess, but Top 10 was the goal and we kinda failed.
Great to see promotion is ours, although 11th is disappointing to be honest after the great start we had.
I was disappointed by TomTom slightly - not sure where it went wrong for them quite, perhaps we all overrated them pre season or did the season planning go awry somewhere?
Yeah I have no idea where it went wrong. Don't think the season planning was bad(but who am I to say that ) but we have been unlucky very often.
We were in the Top 5 for a long, long time, but just dropped away slowly from halfway the season.
I have not yet found out how this happened, I think part of it is luck, or bad luck obviously.
I can't recall exact stuff(I will dig into this later obviously) but I recall people like Duggan and Moreno just dropping when it was absolutely not the time for dropping.
Moreno at 93th in the rankings says plenty for instance. As a 76MO climber with also a good sprint you'd expect some more from him.
Luck's definitely important for a team like TomTom, since we do not have a lot of riders that are guarenteed point scorers, unlike for instance Siam which did a great job in the final months, leaning on Rodrigues.
We cannot lean on anyone, well maybe Elijzen in the TTs although Stannard was always where Elijzen is, plus Elijzen has a beasty AVG(and kinda hoped for more of him in road races) so couldn't be everywhere this season.
Kelderman never really got going too well but Japan kinda salvaged him a bit and I'm absolutely sure the 2015 Kelderman will have nothing in common with the 2014 Kelderman.
Yeah he will be great at TomTom. I'll prolly nag the hell out of you, cio, until you let him go although I do realise you'll love to have him stay
Well ultimately promotion was the goal at the start of the season, and having joined mid-transfers(props for the mention, SN ) there wasn't more we could hope for.

Really disappointing season for me to be honest, JTL and Stannard pretty much did well all through the season grabbing points and victories and they should stay (although I hope I can get JTL's wage down somehow )
Rowe however... well, it wasn't a season to remember, was disappointing from the start but the stage win in Poland raised a smile on my face, not so sure on his future here as he isn't worth the 200+k wage he is on, I certainly need at least another decent sprinter maybe and a climber wouldn't do us any harm.
I think this season showed that we spent too much on our leaders really, we didn't have too much strength in depth other than the leaders that I paid for (Murray and Meenhorst disappointed but I was relatively impressed with Wu and Richardson), don't know where to go from here but the transfer season will be exciting

Happy with my season in overall. Feels good too end another MG season.
3rd is definatly great and that makes it 4/5 goals complete which is much better than last season
Happy to be promoting this time around and cant to begin the transfer season which soo much more opportunitys in PCT
Would be amazing to get a strong spanish climber to replace Arroyo but they will probably be to expensive, anyway thanks to SN and the rest of the amazing reporter crew for the quality reports all year long!

Abal is available. Should have a decent wage after renewals as well.

Thanks everybody that helped in order to get through another successful season.
It's been a lot fun and I'm happy I get to experience what the Pro Tour is like.

Happy not to have finished bottom. Major overhaul in the close season is needed. For starters Niemiec is gone but I hope to retain Cavendish and Thorsen and add a strong climber and classics rider to the team.

Pretty good year for me. The first few months were amazing, and at one point I thought we were going to win the division. Unfortunately we didn't manage to keep up our form in the mid-season, causing Quickstep, Heineken and later on Oz to move ahead. Overall I'm still very happy with 4th. It feels good to be going back to the Pro Tour. Looking at our roster, I feel we have a nice foundation to build on in the transfers, and I'm very optimistic about our chances of staying up.
Looking at the indiviual rankings, our four leaders all delivered about what was expected of them. Di Maggio had an outstanding season, and Van Stayen delivered well despite not having a 100% optimal schedule to fit his abilities. Duarte underperformed in some races, but then again he also occasionally did better than what I expected of him, so I'm happy with his contribution as well. It was also very nice to see Craven win a stage race in what is probably his final season with the team.
Congratulations to all other promoting teams and managers, and thanks to all the reporters for some very nice reads throughout the season!

It was a very nice season and I'm very pleased with the outcome of the final rankings. 6th is far better than anyone would've expected of my team.
Also great to have secured the individual rider rankings with Rodrigues.
Thanks for anyone involved and especially SN. |

18th, before the season we hoped to get top 10 or atleast close to it but around 300 points up to 10th maybe had to high expectations or it just was a bad season for us.
Will be a fun off season and hoping to strengthen the team.
Congrats to Quickstep for the PCT win and the others that gained promotion!
And to Grupo Nutresa for CT will be fun racing against you and the other newcomers in PCT next season!
Looking forward to see our neighbours Team Live Nation develop in future and ofcourse Risa-Ergon almost forgot our friends in Denmark, Team Carlsberg-DanskeBank
Thanks SN, all reports and others that made this season!
