Kwiatkowski's agent is talking to EQS, Sky and an unnamed team about a transfer.
EQS riders out of contract, Kwiatkowski, Uran, Boonen, Cavendish, Renshaw, Stybar and Alaphilippe. Lots of talking to come
Kwiatkowski wants more money now obviously, QS having same budget, means problems with resigning all of them. Kwiat wants modest €2m by looks of things ;D
With Wiggins gone Sky will definitely be getting a ''big'' name this season, Kwiatkowski or may it be someone else.

I don't think Tommeke is worth resigning for Etixx. That should free up a lot of money already.

This season? Is that a special thing?

No, it just leaves them with plenty of space to sign someone within their budget. Wiggins was taking massive chunk of it. Wiggins was 3m man for sure, so 2-3m is the guy they can afford this year.
This could lead to Porte staying if wins Giro, they offer him a bumper pay, but even with him they will sign someone big I feel.

Van Winden to return to LottoNL, because LottoNL is suffering with a lot of injured riders. |

News from Friday:
Kwiatkowski wants a 4million/year contract. That's a LOT of money but remember he signed his previous contract right before RVV 2013 and his breaktrough. Etixx not sure they want to pay him that much.
Edit: Just saw that la Gazzetta claims he's going to Sky.
Cavendish (who currently earns 3,4 million a year at Etixx is willing to go to a 1,9 million base salery with possibility to earn more with incentives to stay at Etixx.

Only other possibility I can see them going for is Dan Martin just because of the english speaking aspect but it's looking increasingly likely to be Kwiatkowski |

Jurgen VDB is linked to Orica - Greenedge after he's been seen chatting with Matthew White. Sporza states that Orica has been looking for an experienced GC rider to guide Simon Yates and Chaves. VDB himself said that he's open for every suggestion. White and VDB know each other from Discovery Channel back in 2006. |

I think Orica wants a GC rider that is able to help the young riders instead of blocking the development progress of the youngsters. So in my opinion is Porte a no-go and VDB moving there is him accepting that he's not good enough for the top as a GC rider. That will be hard for him to accept in my oppinion. Don't see that happening soon. |

Oh I really hope that they won't get Porte, and to be honest I really hope they won't chase a top GC rider either.
I like the fact that Orica targets young riders and try to develop them within their own ranks. The Yates brothers have a sufficient amount of talent to do well without the guidance of a GC rider who never won anything of significance. No need to let van den Broeck teach them how to finish 5th.

Lotto want to sign Jasper Stuyven for next season. Seems very likely to me cause he lives together with Vervaeke, De Bie and Wellens in their house in Lucca. In fact a docu series is about to start about the quartet on Wednesday.

While he would still be a good signing I don't think that he will ever live up to the huge promise he used to show.
