Looks like this'll be one of those race where the GC is decided based on who can avoid crashes...
Hopefully having all my riders lose time today will make it easier for them to get some breakaway action.

Not the greatest finish, Vantomme badly blocked, but overall 5 guys making the cut is superb and gives us fantastic position on GC, Vantomme is only a stage win away from the yellow as well. Youth and Team rankings looking safe.

You're the one that wanted him so bad. I was about to give him away for basically nothing to Valv321 until you started throwing money at me.

Wow, first time Gatto is even sprinting and we totally dominante the stage. Cant understand why though. Van stayen is destined to win a stage like that.

Nice 10th from Lagkuti in the prologue, now i dont expect much from Hoffman against such a strong oposition, there are 80+ sprinters everywhere in the PCT.
At least one top10 would be nice. Or some breakaway action leading to decent GC.

Great to get a hold of yellow already after losing a bit of time in the prologue. Hopefully Van Staeyen can hold onto it throughout the race and win one last stage race before his season ends. Also nice to see Corioni and Corti well up there in the first group.

Crap.
This probably means Vaitkus is injured, otherwise I see no reason for him to set the pace for Nikolaev and Greipel. If he's fit he should always be the final lead-out.
If only Vaitkus could do that I feel like Greipel would win 30-40% of his sprints...

I did not expect that at all, that's an unbelievable result by Aberasturi. He's had decent sprints before, but didn't manage to snag a win yet. And now he does it against most top sprinters of the PCT.
Even if he ends up losing the leader jersey (which is still pretty likely), this will still be a great race. He's looking good for a top 5-10 now.

That could be a promotion-defining performance for Bacardi, very surprising win for Aberasturi.

Week positioning by Van Stayen today, costing him a good result and the yellow jersey. Very surprising win by Aberasturi. Happy for Kami, although this obviously is not very good for our promotion chances!

The flat roads will be our demise... Bacardi and Venchi 1-2, not looking good for us. Come on Ventoso!

Great stage from Nolan Hoffman to finish 4th against some strong sprinters (and surprise winner).
Two riders in the lower part of top20 in this race would be nice points, as nothing much better was expected.
Congrats Kami!

A day in the brak that was what I asked fro and what I got. Now I just hope Cioban will get away again so he can have a shot at the KOM jersey.

Well, it's better than the previous stage. I'm very surprised that Maksimov couldn't top that off. He's actually been very good all season long if he was in a good position before the finale.

Haussler blows a great position again Still, some more points so I can't moan too much. Shame Boroš appears to be injured. |

Not too bad here actually.
The timing could be better, but considering Vaitkus may still be hurt somewhat I can forgive him. Getting a fifth, or even sixth place GC finish here would be excellent anyway.
