Actually Things that can be done to show intrest (in my opinion)
1: Comment in Team HQ Threads
This doesn't just mean Spam random things into team HQ thread but show some intrest and knowledge of the man-game I remember Luis Leon Sanchez(now managing Euskatel) commenting on a few team hq threads last year and probably gaining some more knowledge and tips from people in the man-game, commenting on rider profiles or maybe past results as well show your up to date and following the man-game
2: Posting in Discussion Thread
Just generally commenting and reading race reports then giving the writer some encouragement since this will be the least required of you next season starting now and getting to know a few of the races in the man-game will be a good start in showing your serious about the game.
3: PM'ing some Managers about the man-game
Though i wanted suggest PM'ing SN about anything other then your plan for the team as he does a lot for the man-game there are many other managers who would be willing to chat to you about your team idea/ stat gains/ what to look for in riders anything aside from in depth transfer talk(e.g. actual agreeing deals)
A couple of guys interesting to talk to SotD and Alkagom both know power gamers in Man-Game both great to talk to, Roturn and Cio93 are both extremely knowledgeable along with Smowz and DoubleDekker both created great teams very quickly then role-playing managers TheManxMissle, FroomeDog, Avin, AidanVN.
Basically whatever you plan on doing in the man game there's a guy to talk to about it and there are many more guys on here that I haven't named that are equally as good to talk to.
Basically what all the points suggest is just don't be shy take an interest talk to people and learn about the game you'll quickly work out if it's right for you if you start making potential teams with he db etc.. even if you start commenting and it's not for you at least you might make a few new friends on the site. |

Always a good idea to show interest in any way possible, just be careful to avoid spamming
Most of us are always willing to help people and answer questions. If you got a question you will most likely always get help.
My suggestions would be to check out team threads, read last seasons transfer discussion, read the rules, read the rules again, check out the DB (sort different ways, check out how you would develop riders by playing around with stat gains, make shortlists, make another shortlist that when you compare to the other is totally different), make ideas for team, make atleast 2-3 at this stage as you will most likely want to do something different when the transfer season comes around... Make plan a, b and c (Actually quite fun, even though you end up with plan z, just ask Roturn who somehow gets a nice team trough this plan every year)
I would also suggest to work on your application. A good way to get in is to have a well written application with a clear idea of how your team will look, how you will play the game etc. A nice application shows dedication, just 3 columns written in 5 minutes will most likely not get you in.
I hope that helps in combination with the post from jt1109

Pretty sure plan z was also ruined after ~3-4 days in transfers. |

ok thanks for clearing that out Was really unsure whether I was allowed to comment the races and the HQ, so instead I just kept myself silent and read through every HQ update ^^
I really hope I can join this and I think I should be more active about how the teams are doing

Shouldn't we call it Plan V for Vantomme?

He would've certainly had the budget to buy enough explosives

is there a thread or something that helps, or shows how a application should be?
if so please mention the link, like to read everything here. although it´s so much.
Making the Team, isn´t that hard,
only need to read some files over and over again.
potential doesn´t matter in the start.
more likely start with an experienced free agent.
or loan some nice players from the world tour teams.
also how do you get that bar where you write in?
like the quote, but then just normal.
and a question.
do riders have a assigned max average. or statlimits?
is it also in the XLS? because then i overlooked it.
last of all.
how do we get the time to write so long stories for this posts???
even i do it lol?

I feel we need to stop the Vantomme-bashing soon, specially considering some of the free agent wages from this season...

The FAQ pretty much covers all your queries coolrex if you read clearly: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....d_id=32087
Some of the links are a season out of date, but not hard to track down latest versions. Most importantly covers majority of the process as well as lots of good hints/tips/advice

No, but he did painlessly kill roturn, for being the only one who regretted his actions... |

overpaid rider of the year this year is Marko Kump 560k for 200 points is terrible especially when he won't max out. |

Kump is basically a young Pozzato though which will make him very valuable in the long run. Top 40 in PT atm ahead of Gilbert, Sella, Rujano, Summerhill, Bennati...

Agreed he is going to be great but in terms of results this year and the fact I think the aim was for him to get Amex promoted so as he can be maxed out next year by them instead of going on loan.
He has become a flop really he should have more points no matter how you look at it he should be nearer Ventoso which is 400 more points which would put Amex in promotion contention, he hasn't done it so he's the flop of the year. |

True. And he indeed nearly has a worse points-per-k-wage ratio than Herklotz, which is an impressive feat in itself
AMEX is really in a difficult situation regarding him now. Even loaning him out will cost them some wage, and without him they really have to restructure a lot to be in the Top 10 fight next season.

It's a really interesting topic probably not one needed in this thread though will let it get back to the topic in hand haha |

You're right, although the more often this topic appears on the front page, the better

To be honest, the thread isn't really needed at all anymore. It gave me some indication at the time, which was helpful, but now the season end is probably only a couple of weeks away - and with it the proper applications process.
There is obviously no guide for how to do a good application, because that is an important part of the selection process. If there's more applicants than spaces, then the application is a useful indicator, so if everyone wrote the same thing it would be impossible to compare!
Best tip for those interested is to not be annoying over the next few weeks
