I'm real shit at this, but I would, yet again, be thrilled if there was added a greek rider that could potentially be usefull in the PT rankings. ATM I have two, hoping to get the one I lost back in the transferperiod, but that's about it I guess, and seeing that Tzortzakis will decline almost before he peaks I would be grateful to have atleast one decent greek implemented - He doesn't have to be as good as Tzortzakis obviously
Just noticed that there isn't an edit button
Would be great if someone edits my post putting a spoiler because I should edit the guys I posted in man-game format, sorry again
Here's Matt's list, all that needs to be done is add xps. Stats are (I guess) from Daily's latest DB.

Also, Count, it would be nice if you could find some riders from former Soviet republics, like Armenia and Georgia.
Edited by Selwink on 02-01-2015 13:01
Thank you Selwink, was plannig to do it later but you saved my time. Yes, stats are of latest Daily's DB, what I was adjusting are potentials that now should look like this:
So here's a first list of suggestions from an Aussie point of view I think Roe, Flakemore and Clarke could need a little boost, as Clarke was pretty strong in several prologues last season.. Not sure about how high to rate him, but given he's more of a CT-rider, something between 77-79 seems okay.. Added Witmitz to the list, as he did well in Taihu Lake. More of a leadout, who can go for own results, when his captains fails. Here some more details on those names:
2014 has been quite the season for Jones, who began the year by claiming overall victory at the Bay Cycling Classic. He since went on take stage honours at the New Zealand Cycle Classic, Adelaide Tour, Tour of Singkarak, Tour of Murray River and Tour of the Great South Coast where he also took out the General Classification for his Avanti Racing Team.
He's going to ride for Drapac next year. Maybe not a true sprint-star in the making, but anyway, someone to keep an eye on, imo. Maybe add an useful leadout.
The Australian has been a regular winner in the Subaru National Road Series this season with domestic team Budget Forklifts, and will now turn his attention toward honing his skills in a more competitive environment overseas.
The up and coming sprint-ace did well in the NRS by winning 8 stages in the Australian NRS including 2 stages each at the Tour of the Murray River, Tour of the Great South Coast and Tour of Gippsland as well as snagging the overall of Murray River, where he overhauled race leader Brenton Jones after winning the final criterium in Yarrawonga.
As for his international appearances, he grabbed stage-wins in the Tour of Taihu Lake and will join the BMC Development Team next year. Maybe we may wait another year to add him. Hard to predict, where he ends up. But there's potential indeed.
Timothy Roe - - 28.10.1989 (25 years) - already in DB / ID: 5272 - His first name needs to be fixed
..having spent the 2014 season riding for BudgetForklifts in the National Road Series (NRS), finishing second overall on the individual standings, Roe looks back in shape and will join PCT-team Drapac for the 2015 campaign.
He's there expected to be a key GC-rider, so he might deserve some boost in MO, HI and TT as well (finished 6th in the Aussie TT championships 2014, plus adding 16th place in Herald Sun Tour and 8th overall in Tour de Beauce - where he Top-10'd both the ITT and a hilly stage).
The talented Kiwi burst on to the National Road Series midway through the year with wins in both the National Capital Tour and the Tour of Tasmania (two quite hilly/mountainous stage races). He also scored two stage-wins in An Post Ras (2.2) on two hilly days, including a solo-victory (12th in GC eventually, green jersey).
Bevin's ride up Mt Wellington (Tasmania) was further confirmation of a rider embracing his all-round abilities and adding more strings to his bow. Like winning a TT against specialst Joe Cooper.
Should be given a higher stat in TTs (like from 69 to 72 for now) and maybe the potential to bring him to 81 or something like that. Potential 5 may also do, if there's already too much TT-talents (added). But given his success in the U23 Worlds and his step to WorldTour now, I guess he should have a bright future ahead..

I've about 30 suggestions in total, so will do them gradually. First up are the more experienced French riders I've spotted with maxed and unmaxed stats. Will edit my post after each one as I don't want to lose them due to temperamental technology.
Currently in the database as a sprinter that can TT, would suggest an update after a strong year. Top 5 on two Vuelta stages, and 4th on a Dauphine stage featuring a pair of Cat. 2s - one peaking at 1100m. Performed well in the rolling French races, showing decent ability over the climbs. Was also 9th in Scheldeprijs. Finally, finished 24th on his Paris-Roubaix debut, which is no mean feat and suggests he could be a threat in races like Gent-Wevelgem in the future.
Another French sprinter - again with Europcar. Had a solid if unspectacular season with good results in TA and Romandie. Also showed up reasonably well in the Giro and smaller French races.
Also currently in the database. Fantastic all rounder, competing in the sprints one day and the next in a breakaway on a mountain stage at Le Tour. Numerous top 10s in World Tour sprints and strong results on hillier stages. Remarkably was also 6th in the KoM at the Dauphine.
Already mentioned by Smowz and it looks like we have a similar viewpoint on his stats. Smowz had his description of his results this season pretty much bang on - strong on both Mountains and Hills with a decent kick, impressive in both Turkey and Luxembourg.
Can I just print "I agree with Smowz" t-shirts now? I don't have a lot to add, Top 20 at LBL and FW as well as proving to be one of the strongest riders in Luxembourg. Can climb well and has a decent kick to boot.
Young French sprinter who has proven to be there or thereabouts in most French races this year. Particularly impressive in Picardie and the Ronde de l'Oise, as well as showing some promise on the Cobbles of Le Samyn and the Tro Bro Leon.
A bit of a weird one. Barring a few decent results in hilly French races and La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, hadn't done much all season. Then ended up finishing 14th in the Tour of Beijing right at season end. Definitely a talented puncheur but horribly inconsistent.

OK so I tried making this working with some greek riders, but I failed horribly, so I'm going to do this the old fashioned way, and then I just hope someone inhere can help with setting the thing up:
Georgios Bouglas is already added to the database, but since then he has had quite a lot of decent results, including winning the greek championships. This is what he will look like when maxed - which I actually think is fine:
But I think he should be XP level 3 instead of XP level 1, as he is getting results better than what his level 1 stats indicates. Also he is 24 years old, and he does seem to have taken a leap from when he won a couple of stages in Romanian Cycling Tour back in 2013.
Apostolos Bouglas is the older brother of Georgios, he finished 2nd in the Greek national championships, and is also a solid sprinter. He is noway near as good as Georgios, but I would assume he is slightly stronger on the flats, as he pulled his little brother to victory. He has a list of decent sprint results, such as 4th in the GP Moscow (1.2). He is doing decently in the russian races in general.
I guess his stats should be something like this once fully developped:
74 58 66 56 70 65 72 61 74 77 65 71 61
I think he should be XP Level 3 or 4.000 from the start of the season, hence having slightly worse stats.
Age: 16/03-1989
_____________
Georgios KARATZIOS is already in the DB, but he seems to be an attacking sort of rider, more than he is now. I guess I would make him 72 FIG instead of currently 62, and besides that maybe make him the same.
_____________
Konstantinos EFSTATHIOU 24/01-1991 he seems utter shit. He doesn't have a single result in 4 years, not even a top 30 (except for 13th in this greek NC). I guess he could be implemented as a helper of some sort. He is usually in between 40-70th so I guess he isn't completely shitty
_____________
Dimitrios ANTONIADIS 29/07-1992 is a former mountainbike rider, so I guess he could be a decent climber - Something like 75MO/73HI or something like that. He should be XP level 1 or 2 though, as he is very new to the road racing.
_____________
Panagiotis KARABINAKIS 26/04-1993 is another greek talent, but I honestly don't know what he can and can't do. He seem to be doing decently at 1.2 level though, so I guess he is one of the better greek talents. But given the fact that he isn't upthere in the ranks I suspect he's not a sprinter. He's definately not a good TT'er as he was 69th in the Euro U23 TTs in 2013 - So perhaps a hilly or mountainous type.

Fixed and quoted the parts that needed fixing
Edited by jph27 on 03-01-2015 15:21
Now, the best way to describe Salvador, is that, a bit obvious coming from Colombia, he is a climber. Finished 2nd in a TT in Vuelta a Colombia 2014, where the TT was a a mountain TT. He won last year's Tour of Bolivia, by finishing 3rd in the last TT (it seems to be another mountain TT, since Oscar Solis won, and Maky Roman is in the top 10), while getting other numerous top 10's across the race, eventually finishing over 6 minutes ahead of Solis in the GC.
Klever PCS is weird. He appears on 2009 with practically no results, and then in 2010, he finishes both top 25 on the Vuelta al Ecuador and top 15 in a race in Bolivia. In 2011, he finishes 11th in Volta a São Paulo, finishing 4th in stage that seems to be a mountain stage (short one, really big gaps). He also finished 9th in a stage in Vuelta a Costa Rica, sprinting in a big group. Then, there's no results until this year. He finished 5th in this year ITT NC in Ecuador, and 2nd in Vuelta a Bolivia, a mountainous race, where he finished ahead of Maky Roman and Piter Campero. So, overall, seems like another, typical pure climber from Colombia, but with a decent kick from small groups, and even in big pelotons, but in weak fields. Also, fix the Ecuador flag to the correct one guys.
Honestly, I was surprised when I saw this guy's results. At just 15 (!), he won a stage in Vuelta al Ecuador, and finished 20th in the GC. At 16, he won two more stages in the same race, and improved his previous result by one place. In 2010, he finished 5th in a race in Bolivia, and 12th in Ecuador. Let's remember, he was only 17 years old at this point. Sadly, there's no results in PCS up until this year after that. In 2014, he did a couple of races in Europe. Sadly, he DNF most of them, only finishing a race in Portugal, though in 83rd place in the GC. He finished 3rd in Vuelta a Bolivia later on the season. He seems to be a climber, who really likes to attack. Most of his wins seem to be from attacks into breaks. He also has a somewhat decent kick, since he won a stage at 15 years old from a small break, beating Thijs Poelstra.
Now, together with Ruben Guerreiro, who Alak already profiled, Silva is Portugal's most promising rider. He finished ahead of Guerreiro in Avenir, finishing 8th, beeing regular in the mountains beeing crucial to finish where he did. He is a good climber, who does good on hills.
That'll be it for now. The stats are only suggestions, since I'm not really sure what would SN want for the stat matrix, so hopefully he knows a lot more than me to make the stats, if these riders are incorporated in the database.
Part 1: (Part 2 coming later when I have a bit more time)
Bernardo Suaza
Bernardo Suaza Arango is one of Colombia's biggest talents at the moment, having made a seamless transition from MTB to the road last year, the main demonstration of this talent coming at the highly competitive Giro della Valle d'Aosta U23 race, which he won in front of Odd Christian Eiking and Manuel Senni. Unfortunately due to a dispute between the Colombia-472 team and the Colombian federation (iirc) he was unable to compete at Avenir and so was unable to showcase his talent there (even if it would have been merely as a helper for Miguel Ángel López). He also finished 5th in the Ronde de l'Isard, another U23 race, in a field featuring the likes of Tiesj Benoot, Louis Vervaeke, Maxime le Lavandier and Pierre-Roger Latour, another indication of his climbing talent in a mountainous race. Two top-20 finishes in the 2.2 races of the Tour de Gironde and the Trofeu Joaquim Agostinho show he's able to compete on the European pro circuit, and he also managed an impressive 12th place in the 1.1 rated Prueba Villafranca-Ordiziako Klasika, showing he can handle the hills and the steep gradients impressively too. All in all a very promising climber.
Hernando Bohorquez Sanchez
Hernando is perhaps a rather atypical Colombian rider, in that he seems to handle the shorter hills better than the big mountains, and has a decent kick, rather a Gerrans-like rider if one were to draw comparisons. He has finished in 7th position in the U23 World Championships twice, the first time in Valkenburg two (well three now) years ago aged just 20, and the second time in Ponferrada just a few months ago (he didn't participate in Firenze, not quite sure why). These are two highly impressive results, especially when you consider the talent that finished behind him - Sam Bennett, Moreno Hofland, Nikias Arndt, Silvio Herklotz, Joaquim Silva and many others. I think that he will develop into a puncheur who sprints rather than a sprinter who punches (so to speak). He also finished third in the Colombian U23 RR which looks a difficult hilly course judging by the finishers - it was won by the talented Diego Antonio Ochoa and Brayan Ramirez, Miguel Ángel López's superdomestique in Avenir, was 2nd, and finished 3rd in 2013 in the U23 TT, showing he has a few TT skills.
Juan Villegas
I was rather surprised on my trawl through the MG-DB that the name of Juan Villegas had slipped through the net (unless I'm being incredibly unobservant). At 27, he is a regular on the South American circuit rather than a talent, but nevertheless a good rider. He won the Vuelta a Mexico this year, winning three stages along the way, including a prologue-length ITT, and was also very consistent in the Tour do Brasil. Last year he was a good fifth in the Vuelta al Sur de Bolivia, finishing second in the MTT (basically winning it by being best of the rest, nothing can stop Óscar Soliz and his thermonuclear altitude TTs in South America). Now we get onto an interesting result - 10th overall in the Tour de Bretagne including four top ten finishes (and another good ITT). This shows a different side to Villegas, one that can handle the hills and has a sprint, so he clearly is a rather multi-talented rider. Top 20 in the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon the same year, that result being secured mainly on the basis of hill-climbing, and top 30 finishes in two Spanish 1.1 hilly classics reaffirm that. He could be a solid multi-faceted domestique in the MG imo.

After a difficult 2013 season with the Colombia PCT team, Julio Alexis Camacho Bernal has gone back to the Colombian scene with immediate impact, most notably in the Vuelta a Colombia, where a series of long-range breakaways saw him claim a third place finish despite not being one of the favourites. This included a stage win with a late attack that saw him hold off the pack by 7 seconds on a descent finish, and another 'breakaway' result. Following a succesful Colombia, which had been preceded by good showings at the Vuelta Mexico and the Tour of the Gila, he came a very respectable 4th at the Vuelta a Guatemala, just behind Óscar Sevilla, including three stage podiums and a good prologue result. At 24, he is one of the older 'talents' but still probably has some more progress that he can make.
At least with Santandar disbanding there will be quite a lot of Spanish FA's on the market.
Talent wise, Spain is dry. They have very few young riders coming through and most of these already in the DB. Worrying times for Spain looking at future irl.
