Can't believe with such firepower in the peleton and they still couldn't catch them at the end.
Smart tactic? For crying out load..That was the worst tactical choice by Quickstep in 3 seasons. We had 6 in Top 20, but it hardly matters.
Anyway, De Maar saved it, love the guy, a well rounded rider. Top 10 maybe achievable I guess.. Not sure how good others TT'ers are fighting for it though. Koren is there, as well as Westra.
Hope Vantomme is okay, doesn't look like it.
Anyway great report, very disappointing stage with the strength it looked we had.

Great result for Jaguar! Apart from Tennant getting dropped, Bibby making it was the key. Perhaps he should have got a better stage result too, considering what Koren managed!
Koren, Bibby, Westra, Van Zandbeek and Danacik are the best TTists in that front group, so certainly a podium could be in reach - with Lagab also a Top 10 candidate it seems.

Congrats to Joseph!
Ostergaard just hasn't done anything so far. Bochman stayed in the group which is nice. he could maybe do something in GC now... I guess..

Not liking the GC chances for Gazelle, Oz and Jaguar in the slightest...

Might have used the wrong phrase there Of course it was anything but smart tactics especially from QST, as the own team dropped Baugnies there. But luckily for him, they slowed down. I guess without this slower pace the escapees would have been caught as the gap was down to 25" already.
De Maar though played it well to narrow the gap Many others, me included, will love his sprint finish today

I didn't mean your phrase much, as a reporter you did great
Just found the whole scenario with my team funny, can't complain as the AI is limited and Baugnies was obivously seen as the leader of the team here. I knew sending Baugnies here could be a mistake and it looks this way a bit.
Still De Maar did well, but all these TT'ers left weren't really expected on a stage that looked would cause far greater selection. Well I guess in his Curaco ITT kit he may surprise maybe ( if he doesn't crash seems we got a lot of it recently )

What a ride from Stijn Joseph.. My first Man-Game victory.. I really don't know what to say..
Congrats Ollfardh, nice too see when CT teams manage to rise to the challenge in PCT racing! Great result for Joseph.
Assuming 2 sprint stages to come, the final TT will cause massive GC upheaval, will be some uptight / nervous managers on the day I'm sure!

Happy for Blot. My plan to sign someone who at least was able to survive some cobbles paid of. He still shouldn't be capable of keeping his place till the end, but it scores us some points at least.

Huge first group! So it's the Westra scenario for us. He should be a top 5 contender now, which is awesome.
Curious to see whether Steegmans can do something in the coming days.
Congrats to Lierse!

Thank you all.
I have to agree De Maar saved the day for most teams, cause I don't think the TT would not be long enough if Joseph took 30 seconds + bonis
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well it didn't really go as planned. I guess I need to stop expecting success. Lilholt is just a distraction now.
Hopefully Rasmussen does well tomorrow and Bochamn can do a god GC.

What drugs are my rides on? Do they need to attack on every pointless stage now
Baugnies is wrong influence on my team. If in another cobbled classic he attacks with 70km to go he's going become a free agent. No joke Jerome.

Great job by Steegmans! He's not awful at TT, so this might be a first step towards a decent GC for him.
