Do you mean actually change the classifications? If yes, that's not possible. That's why I was talking about just changing their names, which is done in the Local.cdb.

Stylus you are doing a great job, but for Laurent Jalabert, I thought he may have little more high puntuations on Montain and Sprint..I should put 76 in MO and 73 on SPR, and Olano a little bit more less on mountain, like 76,what do you think you agree=?

I'm realizing tha impossible harmonize all the people about cyclist values, as you also can see in pcm focus db thread. The important thing, I think, is to have a balanced game, where a sprinter is not misunderstood with a climber or some cyclists are too much better compared with other. By the way some people likes db with high values, in my opinion only the best cyclist of the history deserve >80 value and only pure sprinter could have more >72 value of sprint, so we have different points of view, the important thing is that I have done a good job with database I hope.
Luckily there is an handy an easy going database editor in every PCM game so you could adjust some values on yourself as happens every times somebody publishes a mod 
@ About local.cdb I prefer not to edit it becouse I think that the main db is used by every people is a 2014 db where races are classified in a different way and there is World Tour instead of World Cup

About the Local.cdb, I believe people who want to install two DBs at the same time should be aware of Local.cdb incompatibilities. Given that it would be quite easy to change the names of the team divisions, change the 'WT' races to '.HC' and so on, and given your intention is to make 'the best historical database' I see no reason not to do that. It wouldn't be much cool to play in 2000 but have teams and races labelled as 'World Tour'
About stats discussion, I believe they can only improve the overall quality of the DB. But you're right in the sense that I/anyone else can easily edit them, just unsure why not try to find values most people would agree on as a start (it's not like there are as much people interested in discussing stats from the past as from the present)
