Having six riders in the race(s) is great for Metinvest, still i am extremely disappointed that one of the season stars in Nolan Hoffman was left off in two rounds by my fellow selectors...Rabie really?
Thanks Count for all the work!

Yep, no Roche, Bakelants, Zabriskie, Fiedler, Trofimov, Ginanni, Valverde, etc. All "injured" But now it's time to focus on the riders that did make it!
Russia has a strong overall team, don't think they are able to go for gold, but a podium could be possible; best chance -> TTT

Under 23 Startlists
I put together a provisional startlist prior to the main selections, and the only 'casualties' were in the road race: Bennett (NZL), Ziesler (NOR), Borges (POR), Weiss (USA) and Eastman (USA).

Not shore if the right topic to ask, but SN, the U23 selection, how does it work (if it exists even)? |

It's a little worrying to have more riders in the U23 than the Senior. |

Not too many riders here. But actual World Champion Boom and Geschke in his "home race" could have fair chances to do well here, even though both might have helper roles here and second is more a sprinter for the game.
So I hope for an interesting race and maybe a surprising result for me.
U25 wise Villela and Olivier could do well as well but more likely are helpers, too. |

1 rider in the road race, 2 in the TTT and 1 in the U23, not too shabby .
Great work Count, SN and all the others, you guys make the WC something special!

The team leaders determined which teams were then involved, then I picked the best available riders. Focused on hill stat for the RR, and of course TT stat for the TT. Free agents only picked when no other choice.

Aleksiev and Stoenchev in the U23 champs... Proof that Bulgaria can be a serious nation!
Totals 4 riders across the whole Champs. Pretty good for a stage nation focused team made up of underperformers

No signs of Ukraine in whole U23, not sure if i get why. Zmorka is one of the best TTists in the category (well,he will be in two seasons, but is the top5-10candidate now, as he showed in Avenir).

Hmm, thats annoying.
It seems when I filtered the database to only show the U23 riders ... it missed off a load of U23 riders.
Those startlists will inevitably be wrong then. Quite a few changes to be made.
Edit: Fortunately there werent too many riders inadvertently missing. Theres some small changes to the Europe/Mixed teams, while Venezuela come in to both races, and Ukraine into the TT.

SN Does Hugo Houle becomes to old to race the Under 23 just before the worlds or not? I can't quite remember if he is of the top of my head but he raced L'avenir so i'm guessing it's close anyway though hoping for Roy to do well in the RR maybe a top 10-15. |

I'm really looking forward to Flügel becoming world champion I hope that Schumacher being on the team allows him to attack with the "medium puncheurs" and go solo from there

Good selection for us. Half of the portuguese teams and Ventoso and Plaza in all the spanish squads is all we could have asked for.
Not that we expect our athletes to have much of an impact in the races, but it's always nice to be represented.
Looking forward for the reports.
