Damn, one death was tragic enough but now this  From what I heard he was the former Israeli captain too which is a huge loss in a small cricketing nation.
With how hard players are able to hit the ball now, a lot of people have been calling for umpires and bowlers to wear some kind of protection. Hopefully this accident can lead to some kind of change because it's an extremely dangerous situation right now.

A seriously bad performance by the Blackcaps, we bowled ok but our batting was terrible, not helped by amazing Sri Lankan fielding. Still, when Vettori was given not out when he was plumb lbw thanks to an obscure 300cm rule, Mahela Jayawardene saying 'Oh F*ck' was the funniest thing I have seen for a while.

It was a good series for Australia, a real return to form. Steve Smith can do no wrong with the bat right now, everything seems to be going his way whether it be inside edges, dropped catches etc. Disappointed they didn't at least finish the overs in the final two test matches despite there being no result in sight though.

Australia played much better than I thought they would sans Clarke. Smith was unstoppable! Hazlewood did great too (I might be a little biased as I'm from the same place as him and watched him play in town growing up), but Watson. Fucking Watson. No more shall be said.

Sad to see Malinga not playing the last ODI, we need practice against death pace bowling. Hopefully we get to face Steyn and Morkel against SA.
Also, my school is hoping to go to a ChCh game, maybe Sri Lanka v Blackcaps opener.

New Zealand are definitely a fun team to watch. I love their pace attack with Southee and Boult. Bit of a shame they played well against England but...

Also, we haven't played Zimbabwe. That was the Windies over in Group B

Well this game is starting to make me think Finch might be the most important batsman in the Aussie team right now. I'm totally biased, but if he scores well the rest of the team just keeps going along, but after he got out we lost momentum. Warner and Watson kept it going for awhile, but what a great spell from Boult and Vettori that was 
Kiwis have to be the new tournament favourites now (barring a total batting collapse) and with this kind of form, maybe we should be glad that the Bangladesh match got washed out
