But even if Froome got injured or something, Porte would come and win. And if that happened, Kennaugh would win. So there's that.
@ste_18 - The only stage where I saw Froome alone was the stage where Porte dropped for reasons that I still can't figure, even tough I think that it was because it couldn't get that ridicoulous. |

Horner? He'll probably beat Nibbles for 2nd. No way Nibali can follow Froome if he makes Ventoux style acceleration.
No way Nibali and Froome can follow Quintana if he gets even better than this year. In the final mt stages when Quintana didn't waste his energy with early attacks, he was actually better than Froome uphill already.
Ofc, Froome will still win GC because of the time trials. But yeah... I feel Quintana is the biggest threat, especially if they make a pure mountain course with less flat ITT's

Next year it's speculatted... 90+km's of TT. So, yeah. And don't forget, in the final mountain stages, Froome bonked in Huez, so he probably wasn't 100%. |

He didn't really bonk or he'd lose 5 minutes. He had only a slight bonk and I doubt that still affected him to Annecy.
So Quintana was better in the final week. Period. |

Anyone being able to beat Sky & Froome in next year's Tour de France is just wishful thinking. Froome is way above the rest and next year his team will be more solid, while he gained the experience of actually winning the Tour de France. So, unless something bad happens to Froome, Nibali doesn't stand a chance. |

If SKY is at full strength, and nobody is hurt or sick. And Froome shows up 100%, he will win a 2nd 95% or better chance. But, if Froome falters or SKY loses a key rider like Porte...then it will get interesting.
The idea about Froome being beat pre 2013 is useless. He was dealing with a medical situation and in the TDF, could of beat Wiggins had he not rode as a team mate. Cycling is a what have you done for me lately sport. Contador wasnt mentioned in the lead up till Wiggins was sent packing (injury and/or illness doubtful)...then Contador was mentioned.
To be honest, the biggest threat to Froome maybe a rider who showed flashes on some climbs this year. But till next season, we wont know how well he is...Andy and RLT. Andy looked pretty good in the last week, not at his pre injury self, but pretty good. With Frank back, and a few good rides under his belt...Andy is a sleeper. We have seen when on his game he can out climb Contador. With a more solid grinding style compared to the bursts Contador uses.
I think Andy rides better with Frank around too.
Next year:
Froome vs. Nibbs vs. Contador vs. Quin. vs. Andy
I really feel it could be alot more interesting. Only issue Quin. and Andy are bad TT riders and Nibbs isnt great. So unless they improve, its a Contador vs. Froome race if 90km of TTs happens.
Pain,Agony,Suffering...Thats why I love cycling!

If Porte fails, they'll just dope another rider to replace him. Or increase Kennaugh's dose. |

Please tell me you're trolling.
Contador is done, far from strong enough to get anywhere near another Tour victory. And Andy a contender? That's a good one

You should tough. Is old, look at this year's Tour. Next year he will be worst. If he does better, it's clear his doping. |

Froome's Sky team will be much stronger next year. He basically only had Stannard, Porte and Kennaugh on half of the mountain stages

Porte counts for two imo. Kennaugh will be stronger and next year probably Earle and Deignan will crush the rest of the field. |

Contador is done as a Tour contender, he should be looking at the other GT's but I doubt his ego will let him do that

Without any Route information we can't make any guesses about winners... ASO could put in 11 cobbled stages and 200km of ITT, meaning Cancellara would win Yellow by a country mile... Or 18 flat sprint stages with 2 tts and a hill, giving it to Sagan

Get ready for some downhill finishes. Currently this is the order of the GT's route: Giro by far the best. Tour and Vuelta are close enough. One has too many mountain top finishes while the other might get ridicoulous. |

Well I wouldn't write off Contador and Schleck yet. Yes, Contador is an early bloomer and isn't young anymore, but he isn't that old either and might come back to contention again (not his former self anymore but still capable of putting in a fight for yellow).
Schleck is a question mark though. We don't know if he can ever regain his former greatness, but if he does somehow, he surely belongs to climbing elite.
Much depends on the route and Sky strength too. If there will be 90+ kms of timetrial it will be super hard to beat Froome, but if Sky shows weaknesses again or there happen to be some rainy descents, watch out for Nibali & co. |

No way Contador will be better next year than he was this year - can't see him making the podium if those three are there, no matter what the route is like.
