They could tweak some things a bit as far as distance.
Ex: Riders in a break have a gap of 50seconds on a hill stage. You start to close the gap and at 20seconds it says :20"...yet you are on the breaks back wheel. Very unrealistic.
Im sure many of us have won a stage or improved our time while drafting on a rider who according to the game is 20 seconds ahead. That is one of the least realistic aspects of the game. In real life, 20 seconds is far enough you could t touch the rider in the 20 second gap on the shoulder. The game however appears you can.
Not sure how they could fix this alittle. I think of games like Madden football, EA somewhat slows a % of the players down in order to show a gap. Could a feature like that work in PCM. Im not sure, I dont like looking at a 2min gap and seeing the break 2 inches away from me. However, unless they altered it for PS3 and Xbox...it would again cause all but the best computers to lag.
For now, it seams we are stuck. And while we may have a great escape or attaack with our riders. We will have to settle for seeing the main field right behind us.
i´d have no problem with downsixing the scale, actually think 1:5 would be lovely, especially on mountain and hilly stages. For straight out flat stages, i really dont care.
Oh an by the way, how can i manually change the time difference.? id like it, if small gaps counts for something

I am going to assume you have a DB editor. Google how to change it, Im pretty sure you will find it.
Yes, the only time a gap is somewhat real is on a big climb. But if its only a small gap, again if it was real...you could touch the riders in the break. Id like to see a gap be more realistic. In other words, you have a real space between riders. Right now, unless its a climbing stage with switch backs...a gap looks like a few riders just picked up the pace. They are so close an attack can pretty much close the full gap as the non user riders will follow a small attack...and it brings the field back together.
You know that the "gap x what you see" is unrealistic because there's a 1:10 scale in game, right? 20 seconds is almost the next rider's back wheel because it corresponds to 2 seconds in real life. How is Cyanide supposed to keep the scale but make that look realistic?
@greco: you mean the time needed for a gap to count in the results? If yes, that is only possible with the stage editable files (for nearly all stages you don't have this), which in practice is: possible only for the stage makers.

This is exactly why blocking in PCM is broken. Being blocked for 5 actual seconds leads to a 50 second gap on a mountain. This is where gameplay should favour realism and riders should just slide past each other more.
we see that there is mismanagement gaptime (space rider) Still it is modified if we are'' and'' zcts we obtain gap between riders more sensitive to near gentlemen but in this case it is absolutely slow the countdown of half came on a high% or medium %.
it is fundamental to find the right balance. I repeat but 6 real sec = 1 min game
it is rotten to the arrival of Angliru''.
gaptime/countdown and must be re-examined properly by cyanideboys!
for stagemakers it's more longer to created if that would be below the scale 1:8.but it's possible and Unfortunately, it would all start from 0.
he scale'' 1:10'' would be really interresting if the countdown / gaptime is better now adjust
