Was it really that? Sounded really boring. Good win for Dekkers and Allianz. |

Yes. It was 238km long, one attack all stage, trains only formed at 7km to go, at which point nobody really changed position at all, and then one sprinter won it pretty much instantly when the sprint started.

Lay fifth with his low stamina is good but he was in Dekkers will if I see that correct so why didn't he follow him

That was pretty...boring.
Congrats to Allianz and good job from PrivatBank, they should watch Dekkers better though.

Well done from Dekkers. Moves like that tend to be quite successful occasionally.
Stage 3 should hopefully be a bit more interesting

I have almost fallen asleep watching stages like this one so I sympathise.
Torckler's win was great though.

Usually I like long reports.
That report was length was perfect given the 'action' in the race.
Still might get my goal (doubtful) but come on Ilias, the Mad Greek!

Very good! Stage 3 went good already for Rodriguez. But stage 4 was just brilliant. Podium for Rodriguez looks very good and first stage win already achieved! |

Dear god...
Stage 3... What a joke... Why on earth did Vorganov attack? Why did we set the pace, just to let others escape? Gomenyuk's fall most likely contributed to this fail...
Stage 4... Yeah... Why wasn't Polivoda in Ansons' wheel? That would've made sense... :s

Glad Weening was paying attention and joined the winning stage 3 attack. I don't need to win this tour, but failing the top 10 goal would be disastrous.
Unlucky moment for Mehr-Wenige to fall.
Stage 4 was great for Iberia, so naturally not great for us.

Fairly anonymous performance from us so far. Hopefully we are just saving the good stuff for the important stages (probably not).

Sorry about the delays everyone, I'm having to work long hours at the moment. But the final stages have been raced, and I have time definitely set aside tomorrow to write them all up and post them

Really excited about Scarponis racing so far. The eight second lead to Rodriguez is not enough in it self to really matter, but a stage win, and good placings on other stages as well put him in a great position, and he should be the biggest favorite. Good racing from Appollonio and Lasca on two stages as well. Happy+ so far. |
