Stage 9 (guessing) Last flat stage before the mountains.
Stage 10: First mountain stage as well as the longest stage in the tour; rated as hilly, but I will fix that into mountain before i release the full db.
@Sutty: Thanks!

Well, even if some of the stages are pretty much guessing, it looks like we'll have a pretty solid foundation for creating the 2014 Tour (that is, creating what is different). Not to mention the climbs, etc, which could be re-used if the stage is not exactly like that but includes several parts of the route.
Besides, guessing is what the community has to do for several stages, specially the flat ones Keep up the good work

Stage 12:
Stage 13:
Both stage 12 and 13 is rumoured in mountain stages (Chamorusse?) but I don't think the Tour will have so many important stages in the Alps, with mountain finish in stage 10 and 14 and Colombiere on 11, so I made these a bit easier.
Now 15 will be rest, before three more mountain stages on 16-18. The climbers will definitely get their chances in this Tour, even if 12 and 13 are easier. 5 stages originally rated as mountain, as well as the Ballon D'Alsace who is hilly until I fix it. Probably 4 mountain finishes. |

Stage 15:
Only one rest stage between the Alps and the Pyrenees 2014. I think the stage will look very much like this IRL. The start and finish place is highly rumoured, and the way between them is pretty long. This is the fastest roads between the cities and still is more than 200 kilometres.

The Alps look really nice. Curious to see the Pyrenees

Stage 16:
Into the pyrenees, with a shorter and less important before the much harder 17 and 18. Over Mente and Portillon. I have to say, if the rumours for stage 17 turns out right, we will definitely have something to look forward to.
@Luigi: Thanks! Fixed now. |

Stage 17:
This could be very interesting. Peyresourde, Aspin, Tourmalet, Borderes, Soulor, Spandelles and Hautacam in 195 kilometres. It is possible that they keep away from Borderes, Soulor and Spandelles though, but this is the rumours. |

This is without graphics, except from stage 1 and parts of stage 3. I don't really have the time nor the motivation to make the graphics when I can't use it myself. I will send the zcts files tomorrow, if anyone else wants to finish the graphics. Still I think it can be pretty realistic, and be a good variant until the real route will be announced. |

I have started a WC variant project, as I think there are far too few wc variants as it is now. Still, I have made about 350 profiles from Europe, and will add some from other continents as well (I will not make all these). Here are some views in a test pack; I have chosen to start with not so known countries, but will surely make some races from the biggest nations later. Every race are named right.
Ruse (Bulgaria)
Rijeka (Slovenia)
Spoiler One of the hardest, but also the most decorated of my stages ever.
Podgorica (Montenegro)
Spoiler Forot to screen:
1. Alberto Contador
2. Vincenzo Nibali +11
3. Sergio Henao +11
4. Joaquin Rodriguez +11
5. Philippe Gilbert +11
6. Cadel Evans +11
7. Edvald Boasson Hagen +11
8. Carlos Betancur +11
9. Chris Horner +11
10. Thor Hushovd +11
Walbrzych (Poland)
Download test pack: https://www.mediaf...dtj5fvtu55
Edit: Note that the results of WC in classic mode always (for me) give some strange results.

I think you should make ITT too. I funnier when the TT and RR are from the same country

Too few? I count about 15~20 WC variants Well, the places you're choosing are interesting. But I agree with Maddrengen, with a TT it's even better
Btw, that's a whole of houses in the Rijeka WC. Looks cool

Thank you guys! I believe Rijeka is croatian in the db, just a mistake.
The reason I haven't made tt races so far is because, last year the rr and tt from the same location never hit the same year. I don't know if it is like that this year, but I don't consider it as important when rr Rijeka is in 2015 and tt is 2016 as an example. Also I believe the tt is about a similar route for most wcs, and therefore not as important as the rr.
@Luigi: Few compared to earlier games, which had about 150 I think. |

Well, indeed the TT isn't as important as the RR (though there might be country bonus, but still slim difference between one TT and another). But concerning the 'random location', that is the reason why some DBs choose to set WCs at fixed years instead of making it random. It's bad because it's not random, but it's good because you make sure the RR/TT are in the same country and also make sure that country isn't repeated in a short time span and can guarantee some variety (for example not having 3 flat WCs in a row)

150? To be honest I don't remember ever seeing even close to that number. Daily's DB, for example, had 15 in PCM12, 10 in PCM11, and I can't find other numbers but I'd guess similar ones. But either way, having 20 is more than good to me, I'll never play more than 5 season anyway let alone 150! Specially with the need to make WC years fixed as explained above, to me 20 is more than enough

Yeah, it was a time where the wc place were drawn randomly, so you did not have to play the same in the same order in the careers. I think that can be possible in some way or another on PCM 2013 as well, if not I had not made all these.
WC Variants PCM 2006: (I believe 2008 had more, but I haven't installed that one at my computer at the moment)
