Sky will miss Thomas' engine a lot in this, Stannard is not in best condition too, so I doubt they can take a win tomorrow.
Didn't look through all the teams and their riders, but Movistar could well take it.

Katusha will be surprising the world!
And for the rest, I hope that Belkin will do well of course, but Sky will lose some time on teams as Movistar and BMC. |

Quickstep or Garmin, hard to choose. If Tony is good to ride hard then OPQ without a doubt, but if he is in pain and struggling then Garmin.
Sky to Top 5. Saxo and Radioshack could loose a chunk of time, and Katusha (Purito) could be all adrift in the GC before the mountains... maybe... i hope not.
Wonder where the surprise will be though... maybe Orica or BMC or a major crash wipes out a favorite
I really think you are underestimating Saxo Bank and Radioshack.
Saxo Bank has a very strong team, only weak links are Hernandez and Noval (and perhaps Paulinho) and they were 7th in Vuelta last year, without guys like Rogers, Kreuziger and Roche. They will definetly be around top 5 and it is only a 25 km TTT, so there is no way they are losing big chunks of time.
Radioshack is nowhere near their previous TTT teams without Cancellara and Klöden, Zubeldia and Voigt not as strong as they used to be. That being said, they still have good riders with only Schleck being a weak link (Don't know about Didier, but I don't think he is that bad on the flat?) I think a top 10 should be their goal.
BMC will do a nice TTT, they always do with that team. OPQS has a fantastic team for such a short course, but Tony Martin's injury is the biggest problem. Him riding home in the first group today is a good sign. |

Am I the only one thinking Sky excluding Porte and Froome was pretty weak so far?
Would be nice to see OPQS win, but I fear Cav and his train will hurt their chances. I'm going for BMC.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Sky also seemed weak in the first week in last years Tour, I don't think you should read too much into it. Don't think they will win the TTT though.
TTT is not the same as a TT, which is why Cav and his train will do very well here. |

Movistar has a good TTT past and their riders haven't really encountered any problems yet. Unlike Sky, where they have 3-4 riders who are not top fit, and Omega where Martin's form will be very important. Would be very cool to see Kwiatek in Yellow though! And Omega is second starter, might have some luck (or bad luck), who knows.
Usual suspects Garmin, Orica will be close aswell but I expect BMC to surprise and take the win. They seem to be going good so far and have a strong team.
Favourite to lose most time tomorrow is Rodriguez and Katusha. Unless you count Martin as a favourite, have a feeling he will get dropped very early by his Garmin teammates.

Sky will dearly miss Thomas, as he probably won't be useful for them. Which leads me to picking Garmin for the win, with Omega Pharma Quickstep a close second.
Radioshack, if they lose 20-30 seconds, that will be a success for them. Saxo bank should be on the edge of the top 5, maybe even get into the top 5. Going to be exciting to watch!

I would like to see BMC get a decent time for the sake of Cadel Evans.

Hey, a time trial is the only time it's okay to look at your power meter like all the time... They should make a special TT helmet for Froome that is more aerodynamic when looking down. He would probably be faster than Wiggins then... |

Having an outside bet on Movistar. Nearly all of their riders can time trial, they've got history (Vuelta 2012 springs to mind) and they're looking in good shape. Someone like Castroviejo is a good rider for the TTTs

Strong TTist =/= Strong TTTist
TTTs are about short, intense efforts. That's why Cavendish for example is extremely useful in TTTs.
I'm definitely going with Movistar. Usually good in TTTs, and this time with a much stronger team than normally.

If SKY wins the TTT and Froome crosses the line first, who will get awarded the yellow? Froome or EBH? And why?

I think it is the finish order of the first stage and I think it is EBH because he is in the fantasy betting for the yellow jersey

Yep. Go with how good they are in a shorter than usual prologue.
Valverde is one of the best riders in the world to have on the team in a TTT, for example.
