moving the Vuelta to;
19-08-2013 - 10-09-2013 ... works
20-08-2013 - 11-09-2013 ... works
21-08-2013 - 12-09-2013 ... fails
22-08-2013 - 12-09-2013 ... fails
23-08-2013 - 12-09-2013 ... fails
24-08-2013 - 15-09-2013 ... fails

grrr... Angry Angry Angry

so v5 has the Vuelta starting on 20-08, so that you can ride the Eneco Tour and the Vuelta, but it's not pretty... Cyanide and hardcoding... Angry

I will simulate trough another career and post the results.

Can anybody help me with the time-gaps in DYN_classification_race. how do I convert the gene_i_value
into a timestamp?

Andy3792
Everything works now.Grin

I suggest to move the canadian classics to 09.09. and 11.09. so the realism that a cyclist can't ride both Vuelta and these classics in a season is there again.

The top riders can't, because the STA_program_info doesn't combine the 2. but a rider without a raceprogram can indeed enter both the Vuelta and the Canadian races.

Have u have any Idea why in the game the big stars love to do Giro and Tour combination but almost none of them do Giro and Vuelta like Valverde, Purito or Contador???

From SportingNonsense's guide adding/removing time bonuses Wink

11. Now you need to change their gene_i_value. It is displayed in some form of numerical method of showing seconds, so it could be 8, 9 or 10 digits depending on how much the rider has raced in this particular race.
The last 3 digits are always going to be 0, and it is the digits immediately before it that needs changing.

12. So if a rider has a gene_i_value of '60189000' and needs to be awarded 20 bonus seconds for a victory then it is the '89' that we need to change. Change the 89 to a 69, and you have given him a 20 second time bonus. However if you need to take 20 away, then you need to add on 20. This time you need to look at '189', which changes to '209'.

Strange results for Vuelta & Lombardia. Where are the top riders?

Sorry been travelling for work. Lluuiiggii took care of you on the time gaps. I had started testing v2 but will start over with v5. Hopefully get something done by tomorrow night US time.

So while I was working through the season I thought I would look at the fitness on the day before the Giro. Table below filtered to leader 15. Looks like those on specialization 11 and 16 aren't getting good race days before the Giro. Issue isn't the number of days but that they are not close enough to the Giro I think. Training fitness looks good. Will compare with the race results tomorrow.

that said Taaramäe is 10 race days down on most others. Is there any other influencing factor in that like an injury or missing race days due to not being WT and not getting a wildcard? also Pozzovivo looks a little light on race days compared to Hesjedal and Scarponi which seems a little odd if they are supposedly on the same fitness program and have the same ldr_spec

And it get better, I took a peek at the STA_progam_info. And January, February and March are for all the specialists the same. only April the specialist 13 (GIRO_HILLS) has a couple of madatory races like Amstel Gold and Liège - Bastogne - Liège.

The rest is all determined by the GAME. But his is a cool angle to analyse the game's behavior and could help to improve the realism ingame. Will do some testing of my own also.

I'm interested to know how the fitness level compares to the race result. Hope you also have the fitness levels of the rest of the riders?

Ulrich Ulriksen
I did. Unfortunately my PC appears to have crashed. Not sure it will survive, at a minimum will take a while to get back underway.

That doesn't sound good. Hope you'll retrieve it. I'm playing (not simulating) through a career. Will also check the fitness levels of the riders. Still hoping that there will be some more volunteers who play or simulate and post their end of year .cdb file.

Strangely after blue screening and not working last night PC started up this morning. So hope to have a full season simulated by end of today assuming the PC doesn't fail me.

Been behaving strangely for a while, might be time for a new one.

Tank - Sent you a new excel file with a full season.

Spent some time looking at the results and the leader types. Generally looked good. Grand Tour and most of the classics had reasonable results. Some big time gaps in a few of them but not sure if that is significant

Two leader types/specialization stuck out to me as being a concern.

Type 15, Spec 13 - doesn't seem to get the riders fit for any of the grand tours. Well it worked OK for Scarponi but badly for Hesjedal and Pozzoivivo.
Type 14, Spec 4 - was used for Evans and Wiggins and neither was particularly strong anywhere.

Race results that stuck out were Paris-Nice, T-A, Lombardy and the Worlds. None of them had very strong top 10's. Particularly Lombardy, I know the late season races are tough. Cancellara won P-N by over 5 minutes which is odd.

Hope this is helpful. May try and run another test over the next few days.

Another simulated test run;

Spoiler

Il Lombardia got a strange result, but their where a lot of good riders in game. I guess most of them had bad form. I will look into the fitness levels of the cyclists
