However I tested yesterday several times with different teams and the participation for Vuelta varies between 6-13 WT teams and 1-6 wildcards.
Therefore my assumption is that this is a bug. I made two screenshots from WT teams and in one the Vuelta is optional. But why I can't explain.

All other races are fine. Just the Vuelta |

You probably put higher settings than you should,put lower settings and wait,i had same issue few weeks ago,when i started task manager PCM was "Not Responding" , so just wait (if you want lags) , or put lower settings for faster loading+faster gameplay.I think thats problem... |

Oh yes, just remembered: some of the first TdF stages, including the 1st, have ridiculously big amounts of water (a mistake by the stage makers, which I still haven't managed to get a fix of). So it can take real long times to load. So did the game actually crash or just 'freezed' and at one point you've decided to do something because the game simply wouldn't go on?

Which variant was it? (open your save game with an editor, go to STA_race and look at the column "variant" )

I've noticed a bug in the Eneco Tour time trial, the one to Namur, about 15 km with an uphill cobblestone finish. Simulated it and got a result with all riders having 0 as final time. If you need to know in which variant this one is, I can provide that either tonight or tomorrow evening.

Had that one in some TDF, when I had TTT and ITT with cobblestones and both of them didn't have time |

Those cobbled TT you need to play them to have diference's. It's a bug since a long time ago. |

Sometimes in my career (I play with your DB) Cannondale shows a USA flag, another times show me a italian flag.
Is it correct?? Why sometimes usa, and another italians?? |

I've just started a career with a custom team.
All my sponsor's goals is in Pro Tour races, but the problem is, that I cant request wild-cards for any races. I get messages about other Continental-teams having requested wild-cards, and which teams got a wild-card.
As you might see, this is kinda a big problem for me. |

Are you a Pro Continental team or a Continental team? If you selected budget 0-20%, you ended up being a Continental Team. They can't apply for WT wildcards, while Pro Continental teams can do that.
And those sponsor goals are just an error of the game, nothing to do about it(You can edit them with Lachi's editor though)
But the sponsor goals aren't important at all in the game. So don't care about it, they don't really have influence at anything, especially not if your sponsor contract isn't ending in the current season.

Hopefully they won't fire me at the end of the season - if they can do that. |

Nope, not possible.
The sponsor interaction etc. at PCM isn't well, good.

The team is Italian, so that's what you see in single race mode, when you're choosing the team in career, etc - but when the career is in fact started, the game takes as nationality of the team the nationality of the main sponsor, which for Cannondale is USA.
