I am sorry to our Rothaus friends but we found Kreiger simply was not riding the climb well enough to include - upon closer look at our planner we realised that Jelloul will indeed be riding here instead.
Well, I bet he would have had won.
I prefer seeing him in some flatter races where he might have a chance to stay longer in a breakaway. |

I haven't sent Claeys here as I think he would have failed pretty badly. Also I think Cobo as the No.2 here would be much better as he can climb hills and mountains well and proved at Philly that he can survive crazy early attacks

Bakelandts is my tip here.
Really amazing start list.

Nice work with the preview, I'm pleasantly surprised that the season is beginning so soon
I think Nibali can pull off a decent result here, but Cunego will probably win.

Great preview!
This first race will be really important for my team. The result here will basically tell us how our season will be. Without a decent performance from Di Maggio in the hilly races we won't stand a chance in the Pro Tour.
Looking forward to the report!

Will be a good race to watch this one - the kind of terrain you think would favour Cunego over Bakelandts.
Having said that, with the finish being downhill, I think it's that bit more open and going to favour who times the attack just right....Someone sneaky and not in the top tier favourites like Vavlverde or even the less sneaky, but very attacking Ponzi. |

I can't help but rooting for Hagen here. ember has done with him what I didn't want to. Or had the money for at least.

This is a very interesting startlist. I hadn't expected Damiano Cunego to be here, but more interestingly is that there are quite a "bad" startlist, and Vincenzo Nibali + Jurgen van den Broeck here is interesting.
If I can get a top 5 here I will be very happy, but it could be total carnage with early breakaways, seeing that a lot of teams have a "poor" leader, with 76-77HI. It should be a very interesting start to the season - as for my own team I'm interested in seeing how well my hilly team can produce. There's a long way from Ulissi and down to the second best.

You could very well field the first ever sprint train that drops its leader in Qatar with that lineup

You get ranking points for finishing the race in PT - so 0 points is close to impossible

I can easily imagine all my riders being stopped due to time limit

Please after the race because it would take something away from the report if you would have a clue how it will end up

So I'm not alone in having to buy a new F5-button tomorrow? |

You're evil, tomorrow I'll be working with the mobile phone always at hand, and the net connected ... saves up to f5 but there goes my balance
