Great work
The best bit of this for me, is just looking at all the flags. Such a range of nations represented this season.

Well done Mresuperstar. Very helpful to have this info gathered in one post here.

I have to say, personally I don't like twitter gettin into the ManGame. I mean do we now get two discussion per race, 1 on twitter and 1 on the forum (where it should be). Also don't like that transfer rumours etc. are posted on twitter and not in the HQ forum (where they should be)

I agree with the transfer twitter part as it`s hard to check if it`s still inside the rules.
But twitter in general is a nice addition imo as it gives some more "gimmicks" to the game like live tickers etc.
Obviously the only real report will still be in the forum and also the main discussion should stay in the race discussion threads.
And well done Mresuperstar. Good to have an overview over the 2013 participants.

But the ability to post from twitter directly means that the same discussions that go on on twitter about the races can still appear on the forum.

Plus, SN said that all transfer rumours posted on Twitter must also be posted in the team HQ.
So I don't see any problem there.

Well if ever tweet also must be posted in the team HQ than why even bother, then all tweet are double posts, and tweets are only read by some, while posts on the forum will be read by everybody.
And if the same discussions that goes on on twitter about the races will still appear on the forum, same thing; why even bother.
All I'm saying is I dont like it, I'm more a fan of keeping everything on the forum with active HQ thread and discussions.
The only good argument for using twitter up until now are the live tickers, but that will only be used by reporters not team managers!

No one will force twitter on you Oleg, nor will you lose out through not using twitter. People can use it if they like, if not then it's fine as well. |

Twitter is just a chat, nothing much important going there Oleg and i hope everyone posts the transfer related tweets here at the forum.
It is not necessary to have, but it is just added fun.

You're totally missing my point... I ain't scared of twitter being forced on me, and of course people can use it if they like it, I never said anything close to that.
Like I said, personally I don't like twitter gettin into the ManGame, that's all. In the end it is up to SN, he has to put up with it.

I don't really see the point in it.
Fact is, the first random twitter i open, has a tweet involving transfers which wasn't posted in the transfer thread.
It's hardly controllable aswell. A tweet can be posted on the forum, but what about a possible twitter conversation following it?
I honestly wonder what's wrong with having the 'chat' in the transfer threads, where everyone, especially those without twitter, can read it aswell.

Its already been established that youre not a chatty manager Oleg, youre not a fan of even the race discussion threads at times, as we discussed via PM during last season
And do let me know if you plan to do more as a manager than complain about Twitter Kami. Seeing as how your Team HQ thread went untouched from the end of transfers until the season ended, its ironic that you are trying to encourage posting in the forum.
Twitter is a small way for some managers to get more fun out of the game. Rather that than managers who try to insist their way upon everyone else. "I wont use Twitter so I demand that nobody does"...

Nice work mre, here's the twitter page for UBS - BMC though: https://twitter.com/UBSBMC
And I know it looks bad that I don't have a 2013 team HQ thread, but this was intentional as I'm waiting to finish renewals before I post one
Extremely useful thread, thanks again and good work.

1. I kept it perfectly uptodate the first season, hardly got any response from it. I could make free time for it, to write reports in my HQ, but what's the point of it? The race reports this year were excellent. The most i can give is a ripoff that boasts about my team performance. I could just write 3 lines about a race, but that just comes over as cheap. So i just took part in the discussion threads. Also, after every single race, my result pages got updated instantly. Same with the goals. My thread was pretty uptodate the whole year, just not via reports.
2. Believe me, i read the twitter pages, and it has become easier with the links being together here. The reason is read them, is cause of different conversations taking place there then in the HQ's. I can't access all the twitter pages though, as some require me to be a follower and make a twitter account.
I don't mind them being there, just bring in some rule or something that makes it consequent. Everyone having twitter, everyone being able to read all the tweets, the tweets being posted to HQ's, ... Something like that.

Despite opening a Twitter i wont be using it a lot, maybe once a month...
I do see a fair few conversations there that dont make it to the HQ's...
I would prefer everything to happen in the Forum, as its easier and you can moderate it

I think the twitter accounts are just fine for some light chat, random useless data like jph's about riders with potential in mountains and to remind everyone that you have updated your HQ, which is the use I want give my account, and what I did last season - until I abandoned it.
As long as transfer talk is kept in the forum, and the rumours which appear in twitter are posted in the relevant HQs as well, I don't see any problem.

The idea behind the Twitter accounts I think is good also, its part of society, everyone uses it, I use it but I won't be using it for my team, Im happy to write reports, (speaking of that need to do my presentation of our new jersey, to come Saturday)

I think tweets should be used as a short message regarding something bigger. That could be "We can confirm that we have signed Markus Fothen for the upcoming season", and nothing more than that. But then it should only live as a reference to the Team HQ where this is obviously announced aswell.
