Well, I've been wanting to do this for some time, since I think the instructions can be a bit hard to understand (although once you've got used to the process, it's goes really quickly). And now that a user on Cyanide forum PMed me with some doubts, I decided to do it, and record a video on how to use the "tool". You might need to pause to read the annotations, I didn't really think of it and recorded in normal speed Anyway, hope it helps

does this help correct bad route slopes?
and omg i'm so confused.... but slowly getting there (made a small hill)
Not really. The point of it is to get good slopes on climbs, but since the whole process takes a few minutes it's too much work for very small climbs (that's why I didn't even made the files for less than 5 road points). So if you have random spots in the middle of a flattish route with bad route slopes, you won't use this to correct them (even because correcting them manually is very easy, especially with the PCM12 feature where you can change the road point height directly from the profile).
However, if the bad route slopes are in the middle of a climb, then yes, using this to get good/constant/however you want slopes will also do the job of getting rid of the bad route slopes
Its on a major climb. Where to get a decent summit finish the route uses a "sort of road" the gradients are mental in game...
I'll give it a go tomorrow
I tried ur tool and im having some troubles. Everything goes fine until i copy the value that appear on cell C1 to cell D1 and I do it exactly like u said. Any Idea what the problem could be???
Check your route points because the distance between points 30 and 31 is 117 kilometers. Check that you are picking only the points of the climb you want to correct and not expanding your selection to the end of the stage, as it seems that you added that amount of kilometers after the climb.

That could also happen if you didn't open the file with the correct number of points - in this case, your climb would have 30 points but you'd have opened the 32-point file. So try checking that
I tried with diferents Stages, and Im having allways the same problem, the second last pont is for some reason 100..... kms long. The climbs are no longer than 20 km but when i copy the route than sudenly it is 100 something km long. What am I doing wrong???
Oh, now I see - the only thing you're not doing is that you need to click on every route point individually, unfortunately you can't just click on the first and last point
Ok, I see what is wrong. You have to pick every single route point that you want to smooth. Right now you are picking only the first and the last (see that you are only copying two points into the excel sheet.
When you paste the data into Excel make sure that the data you paste fits exactly the size of the points that were in the template.
Nice, Zabeled not once but twice

Ok, i picked every single point without removing the whole Route and im still having the problem because in the xml file there are only 2 points (i gues the first and the last) and when I Remove the Route and only pick the 5 points then there is no route in the .xml file.
