Check if this path is available on your computer: C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Tour de France 2012/
If not, create the folders and try again. |

I still got the same issues
Could it be a steam download issue? I dont really see why though since it installs to the wrong place anyway.
It seems to be trying to force the folder it installs into to be named as below
Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2012 : Additional pack of stages
and I then get a messge saying it can't create folders with : in the title |

If it is related to steam then you might want to look for the stage pack on steam.
Also I would recommend that you post your problem in the Cyanide forum by following the link in the first post in this thread. |

I see no sign of it on steam, though if it is not yet fully past the testing stage (as it seems) then it may not be there yet.
I have set up an account there and am now writing a post about it
Thanks |

I've been taking a look on the stages.. are most of them brand new or do you recognize more already release variants? I've only recognized the Vuelta, which was Svam's variant (one of them at least, not sure if he made more than one ), but I think it was unpublished for PCM12 so far. I tried googling a stage name and pro cycling manager but found no more than that one. As for the WCs, I haven't checked the stages, but Astana, Bogota, Doha and Moscow are very probably Olympus', while Luxembourg and Bristol would be Svam's.
If the rest of them would be 'brand new', that would be pretty nice, the more new routes the better!

I haven`t found the stages elsewhere. So I guess they are brand new. |

When trying to install it says something about installing 1.1.0.0. Does that mean if I install it, the patches will be gone? |

I'm not clear on how variants come into play.
For example I alreday have the PCm DB with its variants which I can see if I play a single race.
If I start a carrer tith the PCM DB will these newer variants also be included?
Likewise if I play a career on officil release will the PCM DB variants be used? |

If you're talking about the PCMDaily DB, no, they won't, the files have different names (ours and Cyanide's)

Yes, if you install these variants to CM_Stages you'll have both variants (from Exp Pack + Cyanide) and they'll be used in both careers.

You mean what comes with it, or the names themselves? What comes is one variant for each race as listed in the news in the homepage, plus the 9 WC routes. The files for stage races all have suffix "v1", and the worlds have suffix "bristol", "doha", "astana", etc.

Download setup = 702 MB, unpacked stages = 761 MB.
Worth it, well that's a question you should ask yourself. Most people think that the more variants, the better. If you're talking about stages quality though, they're made by the same people who make the game's original stages (Svam, emmea, Olympus, etc)

I am thinking of the filenames. I can't find out which files that are old and which files that are new (that stem from the stage pack). For example, I have TWO _v1 for the Tour.

What do you mean "two"? Two with different names or two files named "_v1"?
