defenitly 11, great multiplayer and gameplay, 12 can improve to be the best but cyanide has to improve a lot. It's buggy and the multiplayer sucks. PCM 03 is also one of my favourites because that one made me start playing  I think 06 is after 11 the best. |

pcm09 was possible to do 9 microattacks for gain advantage to people that mantain a pace, also best way to play a very hard stage like roubaix was microattack the full stage. attack was overpowered because the acceleration, its better now |

That game was awsome
Attacks worked well
It was fun
It looked okayish
stats were awful
far too easy

For me it is a tie between PCM11 and CYM03.
PCM for obvious reasons as you can read in this thread (+ the stage editor and the in-game controls - I don't like the controls of PCM12).
CYM03 was my 2nd game in the series, and I still remember the famous Sallanches - Alpe d'Huez stage which I have played many many times. Besides that, the simple in-game controls and the fact that the 2003 Tour-edition was one of the best of all times, CYM03 was quite amusing. You could play with Lance, Ullrich, Mayo, Simoni and the very strong Fassa Bortolo team lead by Petacchi. |

I've voted for PCM09, but I've only been playing since 09  10 is needs no comments, 12 isn't much good imo and 11 is ok.. the sprints in PCM11 are much better than in 09, but for the rest the edge is with PCM09, especially in classics (although I dislike the fact that you can get a huge boost by attacking in the flat and accelerating into the climb).

It was my first PCM and I thought it was great, untill I got PCM11 and I realised how bad it was compared to 11. |

PCM08 for me. 09 a close second. Gameplay worked much better in those days.
I can't understand how people can vote PCM12. When the bugs are finally fixed maybe, but at the moment it's not good at all.

The one I've played the most is for sure PCM11, so that got my vote.

You answered yourself already, sprints (half or more of the all stages in cycling finish like that) were broken by Cyanide and never repaired, the game is not functional...and you cannot attack in the mountains = worthless piece of crap.

The manager mode was the same thing as in PCM09. The graphics are the same (and worse) than in 11 and 12. The mountain AI was terrible (no attacks worked, so it was common to see 10, 15 rider groups in mountain tops - even in the Tourmalet there were usually 6 or 7 riders sprinting). No wonder it's so hated

Tough call.
It depends on what your looking at in the game.
For me overall i would say that PCM 12 has the potential to be the absolute greatest PCM game so far.
But im looking forward to see the Final patches etc.
for me PCM 11 was quite okay, but again some of the older PCM games, really had some great gameplay etc. |

My PCM-career started with 08 and since that I have played every version except 12. For me the best version is by far PCM11. Of course, there are some issues like the mountain stages (not being able to attack, blocked when you catch breakaways, etc.), but otherwise the game is very good.
Judging from the poll at the moment it's clear that PCM has become better over the years.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Well, I wasn't giving a scientific conclusion either. All I am saying is that the general opinion of the forum (atleast that of the ones who have voted) seems to be that after 07 it has steadily improved.

You cannot see an improvement in a voting where everybody can cast only one vote.
To see an improvement, people would need to rank every game they played.
BTW: The only scientific interpretation of this poll is the obvious one: "Best PCM game in the opinion of the voters" |

To be honest I wouldn't have bought 2012unless it was on steam. One of my favorite purchases this year. The total number of hours is just under skyrim at the moment. Will probably over take in a couple of weeks :-) |
