They will fight for it again next year. And I think Pinot will take it then as it looks like he has a huge margin for progression.
Especially as Brailsford expressed kind words about Pinot He's on contract with FDJ after this year, but I believe Sky will want to sign Pinot to join their team in 2013 for the season of 2014.
Screw them. If Pinot, the most promising young rider goes to that powerhouse, I' will never watch cycling again. And why would he go?
Money. Better training methods ( not trying to relate this to drugs ) Money. Best Team in the cycling right now - offers many opportunities. Good progress for him. Money again
I feel many French riders wasted their talent by staying with their French teams. International teams add a lot and team like Sky, or any other should progress Pinot's talents even further.
But woth FDJ everything would be him. Sky already have Wiggins, Froome, Uran, Henao, Porte, rogers, Lofkvist... He wouldn't get any oppurtunities.
You're forgetting this trasnfer will happen in 2013 and he will ( maybe ) ride for Sky in 2014 only.
Rogers might retire or leave the team this year even. Lofkvist will definitely leave the team this year. Wiggins might retire next year, got his Tour win and now will try and let Froome win it. Uran also is possibility to leave the team this year. I.e a lot will change by 2014.
What about EBH, Nordaug, Suitsou, Knees?
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

One of the most subjective things I've ever read. |

Suitsou & Knees would be domestiques to Pinot if they are still with Team Sky. Nordhaug too, depends how he will progress though.
EBH is no stage racer. He'll have a shot at races like Eneco, Paris-Nice but nothing big. His focus is not on stage races.
Pinot by 2014 will be a monster climber I hope as well, and would come to the team on par with Henao & Froome if the trasnfer happens.
I_Mayo and it probably is But I believe Pinot will develop into better rider at different ( International Pro Tour Team ).

Well, if EBH isn't a stage racer, how did he pace over the Tourmalet?

Sagan is a sprinter and finished 2nd in a mountain stage.... Not being a stage racer doesn't mean he can climb a bit.

Advanced training programs, duh. It's like a training camp in PCM only the effects work an entire season. |

Show me his best GC result in stage race ( with mountains ) ?
You can call EBH stage racer when he gets good results in a stage race that's not Eneco Tour, or any other flat-ish / slightly hilly stage race. For now he's a decent climber.

Many times riders feel more comfortable in certain teams. And it's not only in cycling. I just think that if Pinot will move to a bigger team then it might be one of two Belgium teams. |

True. However I still think Pinot will move to Sky in future. Just a hunch.
Many riders feel comfortable in certain teams - until better offer comes up most of time And for Sky one thing they have quite good - is the atmosphere in their team.

You got a point there. Statistics are terrible with that.
Reason I hope that Taaramäe will move away from Cofidis..there is still lot more in that guy.
But seems that there is already done deal for next season |

I think Froome is slightly irritated about the fact he's stronger than Wiggins, but can't ride for himself. |

Wiggins was stronger today, tbh
Froome should've signed for a different team really. He didn't though, so the position he's in is entirely his fault.

?
Froome --- Wiggins debate, okay I understand the point here.
However, everything other than that - the atmosphere is great.
Sutton and Hayman didn't leave for GE because of the good atmosphere of Team Sky mostly. Thomas and EBH are best friends. The guys in the Tour de Pologne. All of them are very likeable and all all great friends... Wiggins already committed that he will work for Froome in the future - and I believe him. Puccio chose Sky over Italian teams because he thought Sky had better resources ( no dope related again... ) to help him progress as a rider and the general atmosphere of the team looked to have encouraged him too in his signing.

It's hard to judge that though. A team with too many good riders will fall apart sooner or later. |

Just looking at who had a day off today - perhaps Weening or Scarponi for the stage tomorrow?
Or maybe Valverde or Cobo will look to come out of the favourites group a little earlier perhaps and play?

The Port De Bales descent is technical, hopefully Nibali will attack onto it, although I can't see him getting onto it with more than 5 seconds on Sky. |

What about Porte?
