Hi, I am trying to use a formula to reduce the RES of all rows in the column by (-5).
However, if I type in =SUM (BJ2)-5 I just end up getting 0. I dont know what I am doing wrong, although I'm sure I am. Could anyone guide me on how to reduce a whole columnow by -5 please? (correct formula etc.)
I will attach my db in case anyone wants to fix it for me, without bothering to tell.

Well, here's what I'd do (it's probably a very crappy method, but it works ): add a new column next to resistance and, in the first cell (line 2), type "=BJ2-5" (since resistance, at least on the Excel I just opened, is column BJ). Then copy and paste it to the whole column. Now copy the whole column with new values, paste it in Notepad, copy from notepad and paste it in correct resistance column. Now delete the created column and that's it!

Thanks a lot luigi Its worked so far, but I haven't loaded it in game yet! Handy trick indeed, although scrolling in notepad is a pain

Really? Damn, I wasn't sure if I should mention it in my earlier post, decided not to do it "ah, if he knows an excel formula, pretty sure he'll know this". You can select all in notepad with Ctrl + A

No notepad needed:
1. Add new column
2. Enter formula
(3. Copy formula to all cells if Excel does not do it automatically)
4. Select column having formula
5. Copy
6. Select column you want to paste the data into
7. Paste values (This depends on the excel version you are using, use the manual or ask google if you do not know how to paste values)
8. Delete added column

Hi! first time using this editor... what I have to do to merge two DB's?
I want to copy some races to the Daily DB, but after I click Build and save the new db, the changes do not appear in the new DB. |

Make sure that there is an X in the first column of all the tables you want to include in the new build.
If that is not your problem, you have to be more specific because the problems could be everywhere even outside my tool.
Also remember to never use spaces in the file names because the builder from Cyanide does not like it. |

Never mind, I got it.
After copying the lines for STA_race / STA_stage tables had to cover these new lines with that thing on the bottom right, if not excel does not accept the new lines when saving.
Thanks. |

You can make copy of the excel file, then open one DB in each excel. Like this, you can copy and paste from one to the other.
(Make sure to avoid the problem zmiguel91 experienced) |

Works for me, though I only use it for copying stuff from one to an other DB.

Yeah, I just want to use it to add stages, because that doesn't work very good with lachi's editor

Do you mean these instructions?
Lachi wrote:
How to use it:
1. Extract the files from the archive into one folder
2. Open the Excel file (Exporter.xls)
3. Use the buttons to Extract the DB, open additional tables and finally Build a new DB
The file you downloaded, you have to extract it. Create a folder on your desktop and put the files there. |

Hi Lachi. I have been using the excel editor a lot but since a few days the buttons on the start up sheet are not working anymore. In other words, the macros are not loading. Do you have any suggestions how to solve this? I am using Excel 2010 with Windows 8. |

Did you try to re-download the editor? Did it work in W8 before?
If you moved the file, you might have to re-enable the workbook and/or the macros (There should a button below the ribbon).

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it worked perfectly before. I found the problem in Excel. Rolled back the installation of Office 2010 Service Pack 2 and now the editor works perfectly again.
