Australian Championship : Road Race

As always the season starts with the Australian Championship's , first up is the road race , we have alot of aussie's and we bring a pretty strong team to Australia , but as always Evans will be very strong ....

Race Report

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/1.png
We take control over the race from the beginning!

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/2.png
Two guys try to break away , will this be a good break away ?

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/3.png
No it's not , BMC want's to keep the pack together and they pull the two escapers back . Nice move by BMC

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/4.png
Now we know why they pulled the two escapies back , Evans breaks away 5 kilometres from the end and he finishes alone ! As always , Evans is in very good shape on the Australian Championship !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/5.png
Our boys still tried to pull Evans back but he was too strong , Gerrans and Goss finish 2nd and 3d , still nice move by Gerrans and Goss ..

Teamleaders Commentary

[img-l]https://www.greenedgecycling.com/sites/default/files/RiderThumbnails_White.jpeg[/img-l]

Spoiler
After every race , one of the teamleaders will give their comment on the race..This race it's Matthew White .

Fuck this !! Is this Evans on something ? Just joking , wow he's so strong ! I really can't say what we did wrong , we controlled the race , made sure there were no breakaways but then one guy blows our tactic ?! Nothing but respect for him , he's the only one that could beat us today so he deserves the title , but that doesn't mean we're gonna let him get a double (Road-TT) ! Over my dead body , the boys will train very hard the next days and we'll be ready for the TT , I'll see you there mate !

Spoiler
So ..That's it , my first report Wink Do you guys like this way of writing and the idea of the comments by one of the teamleaders ? Gimme feedback guys Smile

That's a really good result. It's hard to beat Evans on this course anyway. Good start Wink

Yeah he's very good in this race , only time i could beat him here was on easy Wink

Batista15
Indeed, that´s a nice start of the season. Evans is out of competition there, so let´s ride for the podium Grin

lluuiiggii
If Evans is in enough form to win the Aus RR, it might be hard stopping him on the TT. But good luck Smile

Btw, here's a tip: save your images as .jpg, this page took me quite some time to load (and that's by having one report with 5 screens, imagine a page full of race reports) Wink

Absintlover
@Batista15 : Thanks and yes he is Wink Just did the TT , a pretty suprising result , I'll post it in some minutes Wink
@lluuiiggii : Thanks , and I'll try it for the next report , thanks for the tip , all feedback is welcome Smile

Australian Championship : TT

There it is , the second part of the Australian Championships , like Matt White said , we really want to win here but that seems pretty hard with Evans being in great shape and Porte being a fantastic TT'er ! Will it be Evans , Porte or someone else ? Lets see..

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/squadforaussiTT.jpg
GreenEdge is ready for it ! We brought our best TT team we can bring so its now just a matter of hoping the opponents ain't too strong ..

Race Report

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/1-1.jpg
Our first rider is O'Grady but will he be able to compete with the big boys ?

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/2-1.jpg
Our second rider is Brett Lancaster , he has the best time at the 1st checkpoint, can he keep it up ?

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/3-1.jpg
Michael Rogers is one of the favorites , can he set a good time ? ...Yes he does , he puts the best time at the end but..Evans , Bobridge and Porte are still coming up , this will be exciting !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/4-1.jpg
Our best TT'er just startes he's Time trial , can he do this ? behind him only 2 more riders , Porte and Evans....

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/6.jpg
It's looking very good for Bobridge , he catches an opponent and sets the new best time 55'40 , can he win? Keep the fingers crossed !!

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/7.jpg
Noooo !! First Evans beats Bobridge time and then Porte beats Evan's time ..

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/8.jpg
We got a very strong winner today !

Results

1. Richie porte
2. Cadel Evans

Teamleaders Commentary

Spoiler
Neil Stephens , sportif director.

What a race for the boys , we knew this would be a very hard race because Evans and Porte are still a little bit better in TT'ing , when Jack passed an opponent , we told him to give everything he had because a win was possible but in the end he even had to deliver 25 seconds to Porte , too bad we didn't got an Aussie Champ but oh well , we got 4 guys on the podium this week , we can look back at an succesful Championship , we'll see each other again at the Tour Down Under !

Great third place with Bobridge! And good to see Sky winning there Wink

You did well with Bobridge, but your riders weren't strong enough to grab a title here, pity. You'll have more chances of success in the next race, though. Smile

@Alakagom : Thanks and yes indeed vey important , sponsor goal is 1 overall Wink

@sam1196 : Thanks for commenting and I'll do my best! Smile

Great job in the Aussie NC's, as I suppose your riders were not in top shape!

Tour Down Under : Stage 1

There it is , the real start of the season , the boys are ready for it and they must be because we have to take #1 overall , that's a sponsorgoal !

Squad

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/squadfortdu.jpg

This is the team that has to bring victory back home , Gerrans will be our man for the overall ranking and Goss will be our sprinter for this tour .

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/overviewrace.jpg

Stage 1 brings opportunities to the sprinters , Goss will try to win this one but will he be in good shape ?

Race Report

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0048.jpg
After 1 km there's already a breakaway , Jones , Bonnet , Haedo , Wyss , Nizzolo , King and our own Langeveld try to get away.

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0052.jpg
But they get caught after 30 km , Goss toke the first intermediate sprint btw.

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0052.jpg

Everything comes together and we're preparing for a mass sprint , all the team are putting their best sprinter in front !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0056.jpg
And so do we , the last 1.5 km , there's only Daryl Impey and Goss remaining for our team , this is looking good but Cavendish is also in a good position !

i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o619/Absintlover/PCM0059.jpg
And it's Cavendish taking he's first win of the season , to bad for Goss but there is nothing lost yet , there will be more flat stages in the TdU and our main goal , #1 overall is still possible , Gerrans drove a good race .

Thats what I call an exciting race ! Our boys and the SKY boys kept the peloton together and in the sprint Cavendish finishes the work brilliant ! Nothing but respect for that guy . A good thing is the fact that we got the points jersey right now but our main goal is still the overall ranking , I'll see you tomorrow mate !

Story looks good, but still a few tips:
- Make the names of your riders in the results/ ranking bold or maybe coloured, so it's easier to spot them.
- Make more variation in your screenshots, now they're all helicopter view.

You're getting good results!. keep it going!
