stumbled on another file that looks abandoned;
STA_roster_type_leader
anybody know that it is used for? setup looks interesting; correlation between leader_type en cya_top_tour races (mapping in percentages?) |

Ok, I have edited a lot of the program_info file.
https://dl.dropbox...ation.xlsx
In the excel you can alter races (race id's) in columns F to K and columns T to X will turn up green if the race date is in the correct month. don't have the overlapping of the races programmed yet (could be done if anybody wants). In column B the gene_ilist_fkIDrace is filled automaticly. So if you would copy columns A to C to STA_program_info, than you're ready to go.
Feel free to comment, or post your version of STA_program_info.

The pain seems to be in the end of the year, where the Vuelta is overlapping the Vattenfall Cyclassics en Plouay and in and Lombardia is in September instead of October

I'm a bit more sceptical then you are. I haven't seen many updates of these parts in the database over the last few years. In my view the only do a minimal setup and I think theres more to gain from these tables.
I'm thinking of redoing them like Ruben does and will post them here for comment and directions
Tbh I had never seen it this way. I do still think that it's right (=there's a reason) for why only 7 type of leaders appear in STA_program, so that shouldn't be touched (which would also keep the realism, as I already said). But maybe it's true that STA_program_info could be bettered. As I told in my first post here, I'm not an expert in these tables, so I might have been wrong indeed.
You seem very determined, so good luck in this work

STA_program_info is outdated - that's for sure. As Tank already said, there's race IDs in there which no longer exist. So not even Cyanide is making this correctly which thus also makes this harder for everyone else.
As a DB-maker myself, I could go and do what Tank is doing now, but with all the other DB-work there's simply not time to change too much considering the relatively low "pay-out" - honestly, race dates don't matter too much in my opinion. Especially not in 2012 where everything is messed up due to the Olympics.
That being said, I appreciate what you're doing, Tank (you should know that by now ), and I'm looking forward to see what you're able to pull off. |

Guys or Girls, with cycling knowledge, I need your help.
https://dl.dropbox...ation.xlsx
In the file above, there is a tab called "aug - sept - okt" in this sheet you'll find options / scenario's that i find logica to combine for the cyclist to use as a program. for example in august; only ride the Vuelta, or another variant ride the Vuelta a Burgos than Clasica Ciclista San Sebastian en than the Vuelta...
I don't need all the options, I just want the program's that you see doable, or likely for the cyclists (World Tour level). You would help me allot if you would edit the Excel and post it here, or give your examples of the months in this forum.
I will use those scenario's in the program_info in order to get realistic starting lineups. keep in mind that i used PCMDaily as the reference database, so it could be that you are missing races...
Please leave a message if your interested.

Hmm, i'm not getting a lot of reactions here. Might give it another try. If you are a team director and you have a potential TdF winner in your team. What would be his race program? Let say: Evans, Schleck, Contador, Gesink or Nibali. Every program would be different right? so, what combinations do you guys see?
What if I would create a database (based on PCMDaily2012v1 and I would alter the calendar (already have that) + an new program_info inside. Are there any volunteers that would like to run some test for me? |

It's a pity that the community doesn't seem to have a lot of interest on these things (the same thing happened when you started the other thread about popularity and NCs). But I'm sure that there are some people (who understand more of this) who are hoping that you can be successful in recreating these tables (put me in this list)
Btw, don't forget that you can't simply ask a 'normal' person what races would he send his rider in. First, it can't be compared to real life, since PCM has a good fitness limit of 60 days, while riders ride much more irl; second, I don't know what you've got up with your 'experiments' in these tables, but, for example, only the big races appear as specific races for specific types of leaders? So you need some knowledge to answer how could the program be.
I would like to help with the tests, but unfortunately I don't have enough time But for this I think you can find volunteers easier than with the programs

lol lluuiiggii, the community is using it if the use PCMDaily2012v1 I've given CrueTrue all the source_codes and an update for the dyn_cyclist table. So I know its not all for nothing
And as stated before, I'm doing it for myself, and want to share it with you guys (and girls) here. I was just hoping for some support, but I think that it would be best if I would upload a database so hopefully you can help me with exports of race participations.

You've done more that enough (along with Ruben) by replying in this thread, or else I would have stopped posting my progress and products. so thank you for that. |

I expressed myself badly: they don't seem to have lot of interest on the creation of these things. Obviously everybody is interested in the fun part

Race days. After the 60th race day of the season, each 2 race days take out 1 max fitness point (from 'race fitness' ).

I think I have a raw version for you guys to test.
I've updated the following;
STA_race
STA_stage
STA_program
STA_program_info
STA_type_leader_specialisation
I need some testers to sim or play though the season and see if the participation (and therefore results) in the races is correct. Can somebody help me please?
I've used the PCMDaily as the basis, so no extra files are needed, only this database;
https://dl.dropbox...TankNL.cdb
Thanks in advance.
