Right Guys, cheers for the BIG effort today Grin

I've now got all the riders i need in order to get this thing on the road, i'm in the process of creating the bicycle, frame and wheels for the team, and when these are up, i'll put a squad roster, and images of our kit for the season Smile

My target is to do, 3(ish) stages per night, and i will be playing every stage, so each season will take a while Pfft

This guy isn't even close to the rules...
I'm keeping the stats, but he's now 29, because that's the age that stats would make according to the rules im running this by.

Apologies to @alexander lens, not sure if you missed the bit at the start or something? Pfft

The team roster

Wasn't 80 the max stat? There's a guy with 81, 82 and 83.

baggieboys32
It was originally, but as the guy is over 30 years old, he has these stats but no potential, and is likely to retire fairly soon. hence i allowed the stats

Race Targets for the season:

Tour de San luis- Get the season of to a flyer, and us immediately up the rankings.

Gent-Wevelgem, Ronde van Vlandaaren, Paris-Roubaix- Hope to place well in multiple UWT cobblestones race, due to large number of classics riders we have Smile

The Giro D'italia- With several strong climbers i intend to push for at least a top 5 place in this grand tour.

Tour de France- Not aiming for an overall position necessarily, but i see no reason why we can't at least get the polka-dot along with a couple of stage wins.

Tour de Limousin- Suits our squad, should be an easy win.

Tour of Britain- As a british cycling team really looking to make it's name and join the pro tour, the tour of britain is a must win, i hope to take both the points, and yellow jerseys in this race.

Obviously i also have several other races entered, we need to get promoted after all, but those are the key races, and UWT races, that Team Youtube Twitter will be entering this season.

cavfan8
a few of those are quite hard! good luck, I'm sure my little man Eric Chen (say it like EREC CHEN to get it Smile )

By the way, all of you involved/reading this, if any of you are graphics experts, could you make me a pinarello, but i want the colouring to be red and black instead of blue and black?

Cheers if you can, otherwise, i'll get going using a standard pinarello.

Right guys, minus Rory Druce, we're off on a training camp, rory, you get to go on a special single man trip to monaco just as soon as you've had the australian championships Smile

I'll upload the results, and possibly a screenshot from the races.

baggieboys32
Well here it is guys-
The first ever outing of the new team, Youtube Twitter.
Rory Druce Taking part in the Australian National TT championships.

It was tight, and Cadel pushed us right to the edge, but we tipped him, say hello to the new australian TT champion RORY DRUCE!!!

first victory!

Sadly, due to R.Druce's lack of fitness, and not having any co-riders to help in the Australian Road Race, Rory was unable to pull away from the peloton, and so C.Evans took the finish whilst Druce was sat back in 39th place after a bunch sprint for 3rd place

Maybe next year for that one eh rory?

baggieboys32
Well, with all riders back from training camps, it's time to take on the Tour de San Luis, Team Youtube Twitter has come to the conclusion that the start list shown below, is going to be most effective for this tour, one of the teams objectives for the season

Results are in!
Stage one played out with a mixed set of weather, some sunny patches intermixed with heavy rain for prolonged periods.

As the race kicked off there were multiple attacks right at the start

Spoiler
i40.tinypic.com/152yr6w.png

These were away for the mountain points before Youtube decided to pull them back in and force the sprint finish they were hoping for with Zhou and Pye in the squad they settled on

Spoiler
i44.tinypic.com/24cz3g9.png

With 10km to go Youtube set up there sprint train with Zhou as a final leadout for Pye, Kando Boss did an excellent job in getting this rolling with the initial stint at the front pulling a gap between Youtube and the peloton, forcing other sprinters to work and catch us, rather than allowing other teams to do likewise

Spoiler
i42.tinypic.com/2z8rzhv.png

The team held it together and left Pye and Zhou in the perfect position for the final sprint, leaving pye to cross the line in a solid first place

Spoiler

Spoiler
i40.tinypic.com/2ijhi80.png

With Pye in charge in the sprint, the rest followed in his wake, as a bunch finish puts Pye in the Orange after stage one, whilst leaving GC contender Jey-Cy Cavendickx perfectly placed to push onwards in the hillier stages later in the tour
